Push button start
Does any one know how to keep the accessory power on the Camaro push button without starting the engine. It seems to time out, is there a way to keep it on without hitting the push button start engine again and again.

Push the button twice with you foot off the brake. I think anyway. I've done it once.

Double tap does nothing, except give me 10 minutes ,then you double tap it again ,that was my point. It times out after 10 minutes.

Okay thanks, running a program download that takes longer the. 10 mins and you can't interrupt the power source or the download will fail. Engine can't be running either. Hmmmm. Problem

Press and hold start, without foot on the brake, for 10 seconds. Acc will stay on.

You CAN turn it on and have it stay on until you turn it off. It is a service feature. The owners manual tells you how to do it. I am trying to find it again now.

And here it is.
Service Only Mode This power mode is available for service and diagnostics, and to verify the proper operation of the malfunction indicator lamp as may be required for emission inspection purposes. With the vehicle off, and the brake pedal not applied, pressing and holding the button for more than five seconds will place the vehicle in Service Only Mode. The instruments and audio systems will operate as they do in ON/RUN, but the vehicle will not be able to be driven. The engine will not start in Service Only Mode. Press the button again to turn the vehicle off.
