And it should be interesting to watch what routes people take.

I have already talk to the shop who did my current ZL1 and specializes in Corvette's. I will be replacing the 1.7L S/C with a 2.3L almost immediately assuming the clearance for it can be accommodated under the stock hood. I will also be removing CAT's, installing CAI, and a few other odd's and end's. Is it tomorrow yet???

A little Clarification.

There are people that will buy the new ZL1 with the full intent to mod going in knowing they won't have driveline issues with adding another 200 hp/ft lbs with right install and tune. GM probably knows this based on the current ZL1, Z07, 2nd and 3rd gen CTSV.

Might be another reason there is a delay. The A10 is the only driveline component not in these Cars.
My reading skills are poor at best. So first off the A10 is delayed and won't be available for some time. Anyone know how long?

Next, people will wait one year, to mod their A10 cars, why? To find out about the transmissions durability, or something else?

Thanks in advance for the clarification.

I'm not sure when the A10 will be available. It appears you want to know what it will take to mod the new ZL1 to 750 hp The only unknown powertrain component in the new ZL1 is the A10 transmission. Everything else has been tested and modded to various power levels in the C7Z and 3rd gen CTSV with data. That's where I would start finding the information.

If the A10 is strong there should be no issues at certain power levels. I would not want to be the 1st person to find out where that limit is with a voided warranty. Let someone else do the R&D testing for you. That's what I meant by waiting a year. Get known data and results first. I would have no hesitation on modding the Manual 6th Gen ZL1 however 😊

I agree with all you said. The reason I chose 750 hp at the crank is that it would give me about 640 to 650 at the wheels. This number seems to be a number most agree on this forum is about the max useable on the street. With the new Zl1's new tranny and wider tires and lighter overall weight it would make a lethal combo. For me it is important to not be intimidated by either the Hellcat, or the new upcoming GT500.

May sound silly but this is my plan.
I thank you for your thoughts and knowledge.
Any one else please jump in.

Love this age of muscle cars
Did anyone else hear about 4 wheel drive hellcats coming out?

If you're going to spend that much money on a ZL1 you might as well keep it stock. The only reason I would want to buy one is because you get a lot of horsepower and a factory warranty. If you just want a fast car then just go buy a twin turbo/single turbo or twin screw 03-04 cobra for a 1/3-1/2 of the price.

I personally will be going with Lingenfelter 750 package.
Lingenfelter and Hennessy's warranty is 2 year/24000 on the work they preform. GM's is 5 year/ 60000 on drivetrain. Any modification voids
the drivetrain warranty. I talked to 3 different dealers about this as well
as Tim at Lingenfelter.
