That is the on/off button. When pressed, it erases the cruise speed from memory.

I had hoped that was not the case. Kind of an annoying oversight.

Stock Brembo calipers are just fine. It's the stock pads that do not give you the firm pedal feel.

I thought it was hitting the rev limiter for a brief second. Seems odd that the engine would rev further than allowable when shifting automatically instead of manually.

I THOUGHT IT WAS HITTING THE REV LIMITER.....

Nobody said that, purely my speculation on what the "barking" was

Everything in my first post is valid, and been verified by GM. They are not "guesses"

Unburnt fuel when it power shifts Causes a slight backfire through the exhaust system when shifting at wide-open throttle. The C7 Vette does it too.

The exhaust condensation is a product of the type of gas you use, not specific to the car. I've never had the black water under my car.

Thanks for the info, Glen. Every car has its little quirks, glad all the items I had in my head were listed This car is worlds apart from my old 4th gen, in most ways good. But I can't help but get nervous when I see/hear things I'm not used to.

My best friend bought a C7 early on (December of '13) and I have spent a lot of time in the car. And there's a lot of the tech trickle down that's evident in the new Camaro.

So I was really surprised that the Camaro doesn't alert me when the key fob is out of range, as happens with the Corvettes. In fact, I think it's pretty much not possible to get too far away in a Corvette without the fob detected within the car. It seems to me that this is a software feature, and we know that the sensitivity of the key fobs is pretty accurate. It knows the difference between the fob in my console, and the fob in my pocket standing outside the car not 3 feet away. So I am at a loss as to how they made it possible to allow full powered/full functional operation of the car without at least a periodic check for the presence of the fob.

Have any of you others noticed this?
I have, and after 11k miles, I still do. It seems to be a cold idle/engine phenomenon from what I have observed. And I completely see how someone with a mechanical background would identify it as a intermittent miss on a cylinder. Before I got into my current gig, my background was automotive engineering, and specifically testing and durability. We had to have an ear and a feel for stuff like this.

I only notice it after cold and less than full operating temperature starts. When the car is up to temperature, it settles into an even lower RPM idle that is even, consistent, and produces a very rhythmic exhaust pulse. You don't feel any of the "kicks" or stutters described in other posts.

I wonder if it's somehow related to the realities of a cold direct injection system. It takes several extra cranks while starting to build enough pressure to light the engine up, and when it does, it fast idles for what? 30 seconds? Maybe the fuel only atomizes perfectly at higher operating temperatures. Just guessing.
