Yay Whipple!!!

Ok so I have just secured and down payment on my Whipple LT1 supercharger. I think it will the middle of October before it is in, I can hardly wait.

Anyway, to the questions...

How will the supercharger and the tune affect the traction control and launch control? Do you think that I will be able to use the launch control like normal or will it launch and then begin to spin the tires, then kick in traction control...etc?

How about shift points and throttle position? Is the throttle positioning sensor typically re mapped? And how will the transmission shift down properly if the load calculator is based off of manifold vacuum...?

Basically when the manufacturers of these supercharger systems say that you maintain factory like driveability...do they mean it???

ah yes, and one more thought...how reliable is the 600 rwhp range on these cars? I hear they have been doing this on the C6 vettes for years with no problems in the engine, maybe just a third member failure on the occasion.

Same powertrain. As long as you aren't eclipsing 650rwhp/rwtq, the general consensus is you will be good. If you're super concerned, build your motor first, then slap boost on later.

what is the best route for replacing and upgrading the rear end? do you use the same housing but just upgrade the internals?

Depends on if your car came with M6 or A8 transmission.

Are you wanting to drop in a 9" or just change ring and pinion? With the A8 you're already going to have so much torque multiplication that I don't think you should go with a bigger rear gear.

Just some bulletproofing... someone already dropped a GForce 9" into their car. It is in the driveline section of the forums.
