Like most of us don't hold your breath ....

Could be a longgggg winter waiting for answers and timelines ....
There would be answers if people actually said something when you ask them a question. Lies, lies and more lies. I call it lies because withholding information is a kin to a lie in my book. No one has to agree with me. I'm so sick of all of this. The lack of information doesn't bode well since most, myself included will assume the worst. I've grown tired of this subject and over the last few days I've read less and less on the forum. There was a point in time where it was a daily ritual. Thankfully that compulsion has lessened for me. Soon I may just think of the ZL1 as a distant memory which personally would probably be the best. It's been somewhat destructive and I'd rather concentrate on something more meaningful in my life than a car that doesn't exist. Come to think of it this is my last post. I'm done.

At Any given time now there are less people viewing the ZL1 thread... Probably lowest numbers I've seen since March..

And less info getting posted. I don't think you are the only one. No new news / info to report makes for long days ahead

Heavymetal, I truly feel your pain, I have a business and tend to focus my time on that as I feel i have accomplished something. I still visit the site but only every couple of days. My wife tells me to just go get the GTR but there is a big price difference... I just have always been a Camaro fan.... but yes it is tough visiting the site and getting no info from Chevy. You would think that even if a part failed on the tranny you could start building new transmissions with the stronger/correct part(s) and deliver some cars with Automatics in them. Well, I hope to see you back on the site, but as noted above I feel your pain...

With delivery dates becoming cloudier not clearer as mentioned in earlier post for possible mid year 2017 A10, wouldn't be a kick in the testes if new Mustang GT500 A10 beat it to market! I've read Ford is making A10 available on 2017 F150 appearing soon. Ford must have forensics and production aligned for new tranny if they will start offering it in nations #1 selling vehicle!

I've confirmed with my local ford dealer two things:

The original plan of exclusive for Raptor has been scrapped

It's gonna be in the Raptor and EVERY SINGLE 3.5L EcoBoost F-150 for 2017!!!

They expect delivery of their first wave Dec 2016...

So it doesn't take a rocket scientist to as the question ... How can Ford get the MXO 10 speed into their highest volume vehicle when GM can't get it into one of their lowest volume ones specific to one hard
To get model ?????

Did Ford figure it out and not tell GM? Is the partnership on development really 50/50?

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out Over the next few months ...

Does anyone have any insight into where Ford and GM will build their A10s? Maybe there are some labor/production related issues, especially for GM in Canada.

When they said co developed the A10 they didn't tell you Gm supplied the coffees and money while Ford did all product development.

ford even has vids out of production at their 10 speed tranny plant, they're ramping up fast while gm stays silent hiding.

Still hasn't shook me from the zl1 now I'm going back to M6 mindset.

Can't for the life of me understand if it's co
Developed how Ford can get it out and in their highest volume vehicle... Before GM can get out in the ZL1... Which will be low volume numbers vs Ford F-150 Eco

Someone should lose their job over this whole fiasco .... Right Heavymetal454?

Could be the parts durability with 650 hp/tq. Last I checked the Ford F-150 doesn't have that kind of hp/tq.

I hear ya. I'm not on here as much as I used to either. Even though I would get the M6 I am still curious about the A10 and why it is delayed so much. A bummer for all the enthusiast that wanted the A10 including you. GM needs to address this and give us more info.

Just food for thought on the subject. The 2005 Corvette, first year for C6 had the 4 speed auto carried over from the previous gen until the 6 spd auto was ready in 2006. Then the 6 spd auto carried over to the C7 for the first year as well. So, it's not like this hasn't happened before.

As was stated earlier, it's probably a matter of suppliers producing and stockpiling enough parts to keep production rolling. In the meantime, they need to start production in time to call it a 2017. At least, that's how I see it.
