NPP - Difference between Sport and Track mode??

Is there actually any difference between Sport and Track mode on a NPP system install on a A8 with AFM? I have tried both and cannot determine if there is any differences...

No difference on the A8. On the m6 it may stay open a few hundred more rpms longer before it closes in track mode but I can't verify.

In Sport mode, exhaust will still close at cruising speeds. In Track mode, it will not. Doesn't matter if M6 or A8.

Track mode on a M6 will close the valves as soon you shift into 6th gear.

I have an A8 and on Sport it wont open until above 2000 RPM, at Track it will open at about 1600 RPM

Also vice versa it will close pretty quickly below 2000 RPM

I run on sport mode (M6) most of the time. As far as I can tell, if I'm accelerating, the valves are wide open through the entire rev range. If I'm cruising at a steady RPM then they're closed. The Vitesse could have some influence, as there is a greater throttle input regardless of how hard I'm pressing the pedal. Track I suspect keeps them open unless you're cruising in 6th, but accelerating in 6th still has them open (I think). Both modes have them open at idle, touring has them closed until you accelerate.

If you want softer settings but track exhaust, then just change it on your infotainment console in the settings to be permanently on track. Alternatively, you can have it permanently in stealth but run track settings on everything else if you want to be a sneaky beaky.
