The point remains, you didn't order anything. I can go to McDonalds today and go in there and tell the guy I want a McRib whenever it comes back. I can tell him that I will want it with extra BBQ sauce but NO onions. I can even slip him a 5$ bill. That doesn't mean I ordered anything.

And nobody here doubts the fact that you can go into a dealership and give them your money as a deposit for a car that isn't orderable. What we are saying is simply that he ordered nothing, which is true. He configured a vehicle the way he would want ahead of being able to order it.

I never dropped any money before the car came in, my word is my bond, and no i don't want any one to applaud me, its called planning ahead, we know there was going to be a Z/28 some time before it was out and i know it was getting the LS7 for the car, if you fallow along you can read the hints left out by people that know.

I've been quiet on this since my first posts. Let me clarify a few points.

1. Ordered is past tense. It means something already happened or was completed. I connected with Zach and we have a better understanding of what is. He just like many others spec'd out a car. Period.

2. When we hear something that's contrary to what we are being told we become skeptical. That prompts us to inquire and double check our sources. Nobody likes to be taken for a ride and there isn't much trust in dealerships or sales in general. Questions should be expected. If someone can confirm a fact we all benefit. Otherwise someone may be lying and that helps us steer away from untrustworthy dealers.

3. Challenging someone's information does not equal hating. It's called investigating a theory. I can't speak for anyone else but I never said Zach didn't deserve a nice car or that he was wasting his time if he thought he'd get one ahead of everyone else. If he manages to get a car quicker than many others I would consider him lucky as there are countless others who have invested a lot of time too and it's simply wrong for their efforts not to be rewarded since this should be a first come first served basis.

4. GM is definitely disappointing a large number of folks and anyone who says different is obviously not in touch with reality. Don't debut a car in March of 2016 and tell millions of people it will be available in late 2016 then continually withhold critical launch details and call it hype. If the car isn't available by next summer I'm writing it off as a bad decision on my part and I'll switch brands. It BS and I'm getting pissed so I'll stop now.

I'm on a waiting list for the McRibXO. It should be out soon. They are recalibrating it because the new one has direct pork injection.

Some other observations looking at the 100 page order form that I downloaded from this site, no options for the interior (I will miss my white ceramic interior from my 2016 2LT) and no options for wheels. I do like the wheels that come stock on the car....

3 reasons I did this:

1. You only live once
2. I want this car and want to experience a super charged V8 and all of the performance stuff that comes along with it...

Listen up, Dealer will have to have an allocation for the new Z/28, That is a dealer's that sales the most cars will get 1 Z/28 for the 2017 model year.
