Good old fashioned police work! Quite the coincidence.

Damn.
Well, looks like the going rate for stock RS/SS style Camaro rims just went down. Crap...and I was hoping to put mine up for sale later this year. But more seriously.....with all that lighting...nobody noticed? No cameras?

EDIT: -- Maybe I should read the article next time.. LOL: "He noted that the thieves also defeated the light system, knocking out the large bright lights that are typically on. Surveillance video shows a large box truck arriving at 1:22 a.m., but because it was so dark, police aren’t sure how many suspects were involved." Yeah, this was a planned event with some pros doing that kind of thing or as stated earlier, inside gig. They had to be cased first. |

That really sucks. My heart hurt looking at this. Especially those Camaros sitting on their rotors...

Ewww...that sucks. I never quite understood why morons steal wheels, but thats just me. I know years ago when cars came with steel wheels and/or hubcaps, alloy wheels were a luxury option item. I used to work at a Honda dealer years ago, back when the above statement was true. One morning I walked into the shop thru the lot and found all 3 preludes we had on blocks. Now almost every car has alloy wheels. I kinda get why they stole the SS wheels and a think i saw two Z71 Silverados on blocks too, but they stole 1LT rims and traverse rims too?

About a year ago, someone left my work truck on 4 small jack stands, took the rims and wheels while I was away on business in Dallas TX.
I had pictures but I can't seem to find them right now. After that happened, I was nervous about my Car too as I park it in a carport, and not a garage (unfortunately, and for now...). The only comfort I had was that my car is too low to get a jack underneath the front end. The back is high enough if you go in from the rear, but I always back into my carport so they could not reach the back even if they wanted to. No incidents since, but a few days after my truck's rim's and wheels were stolen, a black Cadillac SUV had the same thing happen. I called my work and had wheels on my work truck the very same day after I found out about it (stock wheels, the ones stolen were 20" chrome custom wheels). The poor Cadillac was sitting on blocks for like 2wks... This is definitely ballsy, because had I caught them all hell would have broken loose. |

Maybe the dealer is trying to get insurance $ for the '16 that aren't moving. Seems like the thieves knew exactly what needed to be done to defeat multiple layers of security. Aren't they closed on Sundays in Texas? How did they find out about it so quickly?

All miscreants, scumbags, degenerates, deviants, thieves and people that fit into the "dregs of society" category, need to be eradicated. I know it's an impossible task, but one can dream. They're wastes of oxygen. This is sickening behavior to say the least.
