Ok well apparently I was being way too optimistic. Now it's just really starting to get under my skin. The mylink system is still going full retard mode. I'll attach a video of what it's doing. It doesn't black screen anymore, but it constantly starts hitting buttons randomly today it was the pandora button over and over again. Less than a week since it was "fixed" guess i'll be taking it back again for the 2nd time for the same problem.

That sucks! At lest you have video evidence to show them... because if you have my luck, as soon as you show up to the dealership the mylink will act completely normal.

Welp, called and was blown off told to call back next week to setup an appointment. So all weekend with a infotainment system that doesn't work at all. Having to take time off work again. (1st world problems I know, but hey it's enough to piss someone off). I remember my first chevy truck a 1988 single cab long bed that had crap speakers.. so I would actually just use my ipod or phone to play music, guess that will be the route i'm going for a while.

Can't hurt to try a full battery disconnect in the mean time.

This is my post from December when this happened to me. Check out my videos in post#7. It was doing the same thing as yours. You just need a software update. Here's the crappy part though, sometimes the update doesn't take. The first time they updated mine, I thought I was good until it happened again. Then the dealer contacted gm engineering and found the update didn't take the first time so they redid it and it was fine. Ask your dealer for the Android Auto update. That version is newer and should have all the fixes. Even that one can install funky as the first time they installed mine, the software version page was showing correctly but I had no Android Auto and they had to reflash it and all was good after that. I know they think they flashed the update but it doesn't always flash correctly for whatever reason on these cars.
Are you near Houston? Bc I have the coolest service advisor here and I can guarantee he would have this fixed for you in no time

Thanks Jimmypop13, yes it looks a lot like that. Although I already have the android auto I was using it fine before it went full broke mode. Strangely enough it started working fine about 30 minutes ago. I managed to get to the software information page. I'm still going to be taking it in because i'm also noticing a lot of wind/air noise on the drivers side and whirring sound from the back left speaker (i assume) inside the car. Software information is:
Map 23346621
Gracenote 23199236

Does anyone know if it matches up with what their latest update is?

BTW: I think it's pretty stupid that it can't just auto update or even let us update it.

I think the version#'s are posted in the Android Auto update thread. I think that thread is in the stereo section. Hmm I guess an update could have not been fully installed correctly or maybe it's worse and needs to be replaced. I know a proper update fixed mine anyway. You definitely need a good dealership though that will contact GM engineering on the issue and see if it needs a replacement. That issue drove me crazy and there's no way you can be expected to live with it doing that. And yes, you're right, it's beyond dumb that we can't download and flash the update ourselves
