I had never experienced this blinding effect you speak of until today. And it was truly annoying! I will definitely be painting mine now.

Wondered about the blindness also? Sunny here in Texas, but never noticed.

Yep, lots of sun, but 9k plus miles and haven't been blinded yet.

That said, this doesnt look that bad at all.

It seems not everyone has the same reading comprehension abilities. Literally my first sentence started "I might be the only one". If you haven't been blinded by the brushed aluminum trim pieces(people understand the term chrome more readily, which is why I used it), that's great. It's never happened to my husband when he's driven it either, but it was blinding me constantly. Just a flash of the sun at the right angle and bam, instantly blinded, followed by black spots and lots of blinking.

I didn't come on here and just bitch about it, or blame GM because, I personally think they should have picked up on this issue during the testing phase(which I don't, I'm too realistic to expect any manufacturer to catch every conceivable issue). I understand that no car is perfect for everyone and this particular issue might not happen to 99.9% of owners. Unfortunately for me, I fell into the .01%. So I did something about it and figured I'd share, in case I wasn't the only one it was happening to.

I LOVE my Camaro, I seriously have more pictures of it than of my kids. When I'm not around it, I'm looking at the pictures of it. My husband calls it my Camaro porn addiction. He may be right, I do get awfully excited whenever I see one.

At certine times and angles yes it is blinding. I would have to hold my hand high on he wheel to block the reflection. My eyes are not sensitive or any of that bully bs.

I had a very long post written out earlier, but it's just not worth the fight. I wasn't trying to bully anyone Whitemaro6 and I can read and comprehend just fine Com69. Thank you both very much!

While I never would've figured these pieces were reflective enough to blind people, I was apparently wrong. People, in general, blow things way out of proportion these days and that's what this sounded like IMO, my friggin bad!

Actually, not a stretch at all. Its something that has been bothering me as well. It will often completely block out my vision and I have to adjust my angle to see. Especially with all the sun here in California.

Personally, I not only like how they look, I REALLY like not being randomly blinded while driving. I'm going to leave them as is for at least a few days, make sure I really like it, then I'll redo them with real paint, probably a satin finish.

They come out pretty easy, I should have taken a few pics while they were out, but I didn't think of it.
Nice job, been needing to do this as well. was just too scared of breaking the tabs. will have to give this a shot in the coming weeks. It is a major annoyance at times. Thanks for posting your fix.

I like the black. Now I'm going to have to see how much those pieces are and if they're cheap enough I'll probably buy another set or 2 and do a few different colors and change them out to suit my mood.
