Yeah I tried everything to get it to come loose after sliding the "switch" down on the connector. It didn't even move in the slightest way to tell me it could be separated. I'll try again after my fingers have healed, lol.

I got you. I was there. Slide red tab. Now take a small flat head screwdriver and position it under the black tab on the other side. There is a tab in there that needs to be lifted and then pull the two sides apart. Let me try and draw it out on the pic you took.

Put the flathead in where me arrow is. It should be positioned against connector. All the way back until it is under the little tab. Push down on screw driver while pulling to ends apart. Easy.

These are what I used. They didn't make a difference. The trunk liner fasteners are horrible.

That's what I did also. Lift the tab and it comes apart easily

Cool, thanks for the tip! I'll try it again next weekend. I was able to get the fasteners off not problem with the plastic tools designed for them. I was also able to get all 6 back in without any issues either.

They don't come with any legal paperwork with them. They have a DOT sticker on both lights right on top underneath the panel that is covering them when you open the trunk if you must show a cop any legal proof. But these are not tinted like tinting a red light and making them dark. They are made dark and all of the brake and reverse lights are clearly visible. They are just like the lights on the new Z06.

In what way would they be illegal? Their clear lenses.

un informed Leo's may just believe they are illegal because they are not red. I really try to avoid getting pulled over at all cost.
