Eagle f1 vs mickey Thompson street comp

So I got the 1le replica rims and coated them flat black and I think they look good.
My main reason for getting them was to run a lighter rim with a widder tire with more grip. I went from the the stock 275s to 305 micky street comps and it feels like I actually have less traction :/
I spin way more going into second and my timer says I am half a second slower to 60.
Any thoughts?

How many miles? They get better but my initial impressions were the same. Harder to tell now...

150 miles on them, I was told the break in is 100.
You switched to widder Thompsons and feel you have less grip?

If they have less grip I'm worried about oversteer as my fronts are the 275s that were on the rear. More grip up front and less in the rear :(

Goodyear Eagle F1 take very little time to warm up. They get hot pretty quick. 10-15 minutes of normal/spirited driving and they are good to go. This is why you probably don't spin that much.

Some tires take much longer to warm up. Take Michelin Pilot Super Sports for example. They consistently take 1 autox lap longer to warm up than my Goodyears, but when they are hot they stick WAY better than the Goodyear. This is probably what you're experiencing. Some tires take longer to get hot than others. But when they are cold its like sliding on pizza boxes.

I need to look for a different tire than. 90% of my non freeway driving is under 15 miles.

I'd give them a couple hundred more miles. New mine were like driving on ice, but I'm happy with them now.

After posting I did do some more research and it said both to give them more break in miles and to let them warm up. I've never had a tire that needs to warm up plus I'm in the desert and it's summer where the temp doesn't even drop bellow 90 at night and is above 100 during the day.
Any clue how long they take to warm up on side street driving? During the winter it gets damn cold so I obviously conclude that it will take longer to warm them in the winter than it does in the summer.
My 0-60s of 4.0 and 3.9 were on tires that I literally only drove less than 5 miles before pulling them.

Do a baby burnout before doing a 0-60 pull if that is all you care about.

I don't always go out and do 0-60s, but like this morning I had to accelerate hard from a light and the nannies kicked in :(
I guess I'm probably just being picky cause they don't have the good aspects of my old tires. I'll just be more careful while they are cold and get something that better suits my style when these are done.

I was afraid of that. I wanted someone to tell me the GeForce is just a good as the RS-3 since they are 1/2 the price :(
But I didn't buy a high performance car just to cheap out on the tires :/

The MTs are THE best value treadwear/performance musclecar tire out there. If you had requested ultimate performance cost-is-no-object I'm sure the MTs would not have been recommended.
