The 6th gen is way too small on the interior for me unfortunately to even consider, and i'm 'only' 230lbs (6'5"). I sat in one at the dealership and it felt just as tight as the C7. I'm only 26 years old, but my knees are literally like pop rocks as soon as I step out of the Camaro.

Maybe I just need some more PT to get my body 'aligned' again - but I'm curious about the challenger now! Maybe the 1LE will become the GQ and a Challenger could be the new daily.. hmm.
The challenger is bruiser. It's an awesome DD and has the modern muscle feel and looks. The 6.4L hemi in the scat pack/SRT cars is a blast to drive and extremely satisfying.

The car looks great, opinions on interiors are subjective, but I think the Challenger interior looks just as modern as the Camaro. There is really nothing about the challenger that is more dated than the camaro interior-wise aside from the E-brake that the camaro has now. I would actually wager (Although I love both interiors) that the challenger is slightly more refined. It has leather trimmed and soft touch materials everywhere whereas the camaro felt a tad more plastic to me. The major differences for me for the interiors was that in the Camaro I felt like I was locked in in a fighter jet cockpit almost (Which I loved) and the Challenger is a more of a spacious and comfortable brute with loads of power, assuming you get the 6.4L, and of course better visibility.

Interesting note about the seats. I actually felt that the 2SS leather seats were much more comfortable than my alcantera suede seats in my scat pack. Of course, Steve drove a Shaker which has full leather, which I haven't sat in so I thought that was interesting.

The optional Harmon Kardon in the Challenger just kills the Bose in the Camaro in my opinion.

So, from your pictures, I see all the dash pods fit like crap. I have unsnapped and resnapped mine for the best fir but still have the annoying gaps like these.

The SS (like my C7) was less sensitive to throttle application but not in a bad way at all - it was just that the Camaro needed more application of the go pedal to get the same sort of response. The difference was very noticeable and I even drove a second SP to see if it was something unique to the first one but it drove identically.
Having put nearly the same amount of miles on a 2015 SRT8 and now my 2SS (just under 10k for the SRT and about 8k on my 2SS now), I completely agree with your assessment. The Challenger has what feels like a 1:1 throttle mapping in track mode while the ECU in the Camaro is always dosing out the throttle opening like we're a bunch of 8-year-olds

Otherwise, Camaro is more of a sports car and the Challenger is more of the classic mid-size muscle car. Both cars are great in their own way, but the Camaro is more my style (both exterior and overall character).

I believe it's the angle you're viewing it from. It fits fine.

I had an older SRT-8 Charger for three years and that car had no ability to put the power down when launching. The Camaro hooks up so much better for me. Most of the magazines have put down better quarter mile times for the Camaro. So I can't see why people think the Challenger can feels more powerful just because the throttle is more sensitive. That just meant I was constantly spinning my tires in the Charger. The A8 needs to be left in Sport or Track mode if you want it to feel more aggressive.

The two cars (HC & ZL1) are like my kids. They are different but I love them both!

When I test drove the SRT it hooked pretty well but liked to chirp the tires and felt like it had more body movement during launch and hard shifts (nose lifted and tail squatted more), these could give the illusion of a more powerful car. The camaro felt like it had more grip and less body movement, smoother and faster.

At it's extreme: We've all seen cars at the strip that can lift the front wheels off the ground and likely have seen them get beat by a faster car that stays flat and just launches level off the line. I'm sure the experience in the wheel lifting car "Feels more powerful"

The track setting in 2015+ SRTs is stiffer than track on MRC equipped 2016+ SSs, in all metrics: dive, squat and roll. It's also better to launch on softer settings because of weight transfer to the rear. Otherwise the Challenger is just heavier and undertired.

I owned a 2015 SRT 8 (fully loaded) - great car but the 2SS 16 Camaro (fully loaded) is just more refined. Of course one big advantage to me personally is that you can buy a vert in the Camaro but not so in the Dodge. The Dodge does indeed seem to pull better off the line but in a brutish sort of way. I prefer the SS. There's nothing wrong with liking one over the other. It's just preference. If there were a Dodge vert I would still probably pick the Camaro. It's more updated, modern and refined. Just my two cents.

If I didn't like the 6th Gen Camaro so much I might consider a Challenger Scat Pack but deep down, to be honest I don't have a lot of trust in Dodge/Chrysler/Fiat products.
