Ordered mine Monday and received them Tuesday. Drop shipped from GM through Matt at gmpartsguy . He said they sold out and orders were being sent straight from GM on at least 40 orders. Guess they were doing that until they were stocked back up.

Need help.

I'm not sure if you guys are all certified mechanics, if my car is built differently, or if I'm a retard, but I've been tugging on this bullshit for an hour and could use some help.

No one mentioned what a huge pain in the ass it is to pull the plastic tabs from the trunk liner, After that debacle was complete, it was another pain in the ass to pull the lights from the trunk, those orange retainers the instructions say to remove.... they dont remove. If they do, I haven't figured it out. I just loosened the nuts and tugged really hard.

Now where I'm stuck. How in the F do you release the electrical plug? I've pulled up on the red release tab, but I'm tugging with all of my weight and cannot get the plug to release. Help.

Get a small flat head screw driver and lift the little back tab that was under the red release tab.

Heres a video from one of the Camaro6 forum members Sledgehammer70 (aka Lethalhammer). Is very useful for what youre trying to accomplish.

CLICK HERE Link to his youtube video.

If i remember correctly, once you pull out the red slider, you press down on the black tab while pulling apart. Should be very simple once you are pressing the right part.

So apparently CULTRAG won't have these for about 2/weeks, but for $371 shipped with a coupon code, it will be worth the wait.

There are some pictures posted earlier in this thread that may help you. They are on page 22

Now that they are installed, I think they look great on all colors , they are hard to photograph. It's something you just have to see in person. I'm happy with them.

Looks great IMHO- I'm another Summit White owner and I can't wait for mine to arrive.

GMpartsguy has been a gem on communication and while I won't be getting mine over-nighted, I'm confident they'll be here in short order.

Besides, I need some time for the LED bulbs and resistors for the back-up lights to arrive from Gen5diy!
