MRC reprograming and tuning?
Hello everyone,
Im getting a 2017 1LE and it will be tracked and driven very spiritedly through canyons, and have a quick questions about the MRC. I dont plane to remove the MCR at all so its not a opposition at the moment until there's a better option avaible, but is there or has there ever been suspension reprogramming or anything along the lines to the driving modes for better handling? (This also includes the 5 gen ZL1, corvette or any other vehicles that us the MCR technology.) (I also plane to change springs and other stuff I'm just looking at the strut cumputer programing) If anyone has seen a thread that talks about this please point me in the right direction, or if you experiences or seen this done before let me know. |

The SS 1LE's MRC does have different programming compared to the MRC in the regular cars.
As for the lowering, I plan on doing the same. Eibach claims to have a MRC compatible lowering spring. But no vender has confirmed for sure if anything else needs to be done to a car with MRC yet. Some Caddy's need a sensor of sorts changed, but Corvettes can be lowered a little without doing anything. So, not sure how it will work completely yet. I am hoping BMR has a MRC lowering spring solution soon...as I trust them and have used many of their parts in my cars. |

Most likely due to the 1LE's lighter nose weight, they would ride higher in the front, as moat likely the rates are changed for the extra weight of the ZL1. Like in the old days, put big block springs on a small block, and it sat higher.
