Considering this
I've been in search of a new Camaro for some time now but I haven't found the exact one I want. While I wait my wife is telling me she wants a cheap SUV to take our dogs in when we go on road trips . We don't need anything fancy but we only own cars. It would be nice to have something bigger,,I've been looking at Chevy trailblazers. They all have pretty high miles but are cheap,, $2500-$3000 for 150-170,000 miles. Does anyone recommend to NOT buy something like this with the miles? I've bought high mileage before..my Camaro had almost 100,000 when I bought it and it's been good. Let me know some input guys

My Envoy's been pretty good to me, 91k miles so far. I'd be wary of anything that high mileage no matter what manufacturer/model though.

My daughter went into a panic recently: She realized that her Corolla was going to hit 300,000 miles soon. Somebody had told her that at 300,000 miles, a car is toast.
Not so true... some cars might be worthless at 100,000 miles, but many cars get to half a million... a million... even multiple millions. Sure, lower mileage is preferable, but higher mileage does not mean that a car is worthless. Besides... even if you do drop a couple of grand on used SUV, and it DOES happen to crap out, well, you can still sell it for half of what you paid for it, and you're only out SOME money. You'll probably get a lot of use out of it long before that happens. My Silverado: 260,000 miles. My Suburban: 202,000 miles. My Blazer: 194,000 miles. All of 'em still running strong, doing great, and I don't lose any sleep over how much longer they've got. |

I guess moral of the story is, get a CarFax if you can and dig up whatever history is available.

if you find a trailblazer or an envoy that's been taken care of at 100k miles they still run like new .
