NPP muffler delete
I have dual mode NPP exhaust, if I delete my muffler, will it take away my ability to alter the valves and sound?

Not secondary cats. They're unmonitored

seems like this is highly debated, some get a cel with secondary cat delete, others dont. I read it depends on whether the welds are good or not? i havent done it on my car yet but plan to,since i dont wanna pay $2k for a borla

I just did the secondary cat delete on Sat. No codes yet, but the place I went to does excellent welds.
Videos don't do the sound justice. The startup has more of a bark to it, revs are ripping loud. This along with the npp fuse pull and its crazy loud at WOT. Easy mod if you like the NPP muffler sound, this just improves on it. |

I actually went and had the secondary cat delete done today,it sounds really good to me,but it's still fairly quiet.if you like LOUD exhausts the npp with secondary cat delete won't fulfill your needs

The thing that kills the stock muffler is it's very quiet at idle except for on cold starts, with the secondary cat delete you get a small idling rumble, and under wot it sounds pretty hateful lol.i personally like this sound, others will say it's still to quiet and I don't wanna shell out $2k on a Borla system or others

Not a bad option, but that will still cost you around a $1000 after you buy the axle back from SW and pay the shop for the pipes to be welded in. Another $480 and you can have a Borla system all 304SS, no crimps and proven sound. That price wont give you the valves though :/
I just cringe alittle at the thought of chopping away at the OEM system and taking the risk of a bad weld on the cat delete. These are nice cars and a hefty price, if youre thinking of keeping this car and building it up, then why not do it right and go full aftermarket catback? |

I deleted my npp and am running no mufflers. Sounds great and I get lots of compliments. Had a guy run across a parking lot to take a video of it.
