Changed from stock brembo ss pads, to powerstop z23 carbon fiber ceramic pads. To get rid of the crazy amounts of brake dust.

Very cool, looks like a fun club. The camaro clubs in Los Angeles are a little crazy - all very huge mods and seem a little sketchy. But maybe they're not! Guess I'll have to check them out.

Had a fun drive up to Ventura on the 101 then back down on Pacific Coast Highway. Went across Mulholland for a bit to try to get a pic of the car - there are a few photographers set up every weekend to take pics as people drive by. But the photographer was talking to a CHP officer when we drove by. I'll try again another weekend. Put another 100 miles on her. Had a lot of fun.

Thanks! If you care to look us up we are Bluff City Camaro Club. Today was just a small get together. We usually have a lot more people show up but the heat kept people away today.

And yeah some clubs aren't fun like the one you described.

Awesome picture! Sounds like you had a great day as well. Too bad about not getting your pic snapped. Hopefully next time.

I'm still struggling with whether I want to do this or not. The brake dust is bad but it just seems wasteful to scrap new brake pads.

Well, it's $80 from rock auto for all four corners, and just over an hour in the garage. It's worth it to me because I daily drive this car, and don't plan on washing the wheels every couple of days. I'm also pretty sure the brake dust is not going to do any favors to the wheel finish or paint around the wheel wells over time aside from the fact it makes the car look like crap. I have to chuckle at the guys spending $50-60 on special wheel wax to help make it easier to clean off. In my opinion, fix the problem, don't treat the symptoms. For all the dust the factory pad is unimpressive performance wise. I literally went from these dust demon pads to non dust ceramic and maintained performance, but that's ok with me.

I offered to ship the pads to anyone for $20, if I don't get any takers in two weeks they will go in the trash. So far no bites at all.
