I wouldn't give that tool bag a dime. Years back they sold a batch of bad cams (I was one of the unlucky ones), not only did it take him time to fess up, but they wouldn't pay a dime towards the labor of doing another install due to their screw up. Lots of pissed off LSx owners back then towards them...that shady situation will always stay in my mind as what kind of true business that is when it comes down to it...

One of the best in the country period for ANY mod from bolt on's to full all out drag cars and everything in between. And they have been around for ages...no "here today, gone tomorrow".

Couple questions, I've been away for a while:
Did the manufacturer warranty the cam?
Did they do your original install?

Futral sent me a replacement cam, as they had to, and I never received a dime towards the reinstall. Or for the headache it caused. No, a very reputable shop by where I used to live did it.

Sounds like they took care of you then.

Why on Earth do you villify the vendor, but seemingly give the manufacturer a complete pass on the issue? To me your anger is sorely misdirected.

Not to mention, if you want full service and full warranty you can choose a shop that provides everything turn-key, including that guarantee. Of course you'll pay extra for that piece of mind, but it is most certainly available.

Took care of me, haha please...

Guess you have no idea about the situation as it was. It was a Futral cam NOT someone elses they were selling...it was THEIR cam and design, etc, etc....not some random vender selling a Comp cam or something.

I've been to Futral's shop before and I can tell you that I didn't see any evidence showing that they actually manufacture the cams in house, but I may be wrong, just going off what I saw from my short visit where Alan pulled the map from my C6 to see if the previous owner tuned it or not (which I was not charged for). If I had to guess, they probably sent the specs to cam motion (a pretty popular shop in town) and had cams made to their specs and sold them from there.

It wouldn't matter if they made it in their building, or if a shop down the street did. If they spec'd them, had them made, and sold them as Futral cams, they needed to completely stand behind them. A good majority of companies will farm out certain things to suppliers, just like GM. A third of your cars parts come from outside suppliers, but you don't have to deal with each one if there is an issue, as GM would stand behind it. Pretty common in any industry. Regardless, it's all about customer service...
