10-Speed Automatic Will Not Be Available At Launch Of 2017 Camaro ZL1

Any validity on this? It's gonna put a huge damper on my immediate plans ...

well it's dated 2 days ago, so I would think it was pretty accurate.

I would be really surprised if that is true... especially as much as they have been bragging and going on and on about the 10 speed going into the ZL1 first. Guess we'll see eventually... maybe hear about it in 4 days when they release pricing too!

I find it plausible, I mean it is a brand new transmission. I wonder if Raptor is having same delay?

The big question is, if true, when will it be available? With the launch this late in the year, for me living in Colorado, not much sense in ordering now and receiving in November or December, so hopefully delay is no more than 3 months or so.

My understanding is that you could still place the order for the codes you want, but if they aren't immediately available, you'll just be waiting for your order a little longer than someone ordering the basic standard ZL1.

0 of that article is new and was listed right in the order guide as "interim availability". That's just someone rewording it on their site for click hits.

Raptor is currently being communicated with a broad timeline...Nov - early Jan.
Allocations are much less than Gen1 launch so now dealers are backing out of deals that were made prior to Fords releasing of the allocation numbers. ppl are freaking the F out. lol The dealers are using this opportunity to get MSRP minimum, 10k-30k over... idk who would spend $90k on a F150

With their=(Ford's at the dealer update) wording, it wouldn't be crazy to assume to realistically start seeing them around Christmas...and squeak a handfull out in Nov to "meet" their timeline

Seemed like they were having constraints and perhaps it is the tranny

When I ordered mine back in 12 I had to wait for the CRT paint code and paint to come available. I could not order early.

Hmm I'm kinda glad I decided not to go for a Raptor I was really wanting one... well up until I found out it would have a Ecoboost V6.. Call me old fashioned, but i'd rather have an older (even less HP) Big V8. Guess good for me if I ever decide to buy an older model one... Trick is finding one that hasn't been Ragged too hard.

The whole 10-30k over MSRP just blows my mind.. These are not Ferrari's, Lambo's, or anything exotic like you said... it's a beefed up F-150 For freaks sake! Even feel the same way on the gt350, but... it's peoples money if they want to light it on fire or use it as toilet paper... Go for it!

NO>>> This can not happen.... I need this in my car at launch. It is really hard to believe that this transmission is not ready, especially since they hyped it up so much... Please Aaron Link Get this taken care off ASAP... PLEASE

Eh... In this case, all they did is lift the article from what's been published in the order guide. It's not like they're speaking from an inside source that none of us had access to. It all depends on your interpretation of interim availability.
