Should have got you some of them $99 altezzas ricer lights from stylin' trucks then

i believe you'd have to do some wiring mods to get all working right since you don't have led tail lights. but they would bolt right up though. check out the link for some info on the tail light conversion.

The fun is in modding your own car the way you want. My first car in 1977 was a 70.5 RS and I did a of things to that car and loved it. Cost back then Used $1800. A price tag of plus 50k fully loaded will not stop me from doing things myself. Factory, aftermarket, DIY. All good.

Go Camaro Mods.
I am 100% for DIY mods. These days, labor rates are ridiculous to install and/or paint parts!

I contacted shopchevyparts. They even showed me a screenshot with this new part number 84136777 and it still shows "future part" for them. Darn

guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think this looks like crap. The "flat" look of the spray contradicts the shine of the paint and makes it look very half-assed.

But hey...your car.

I'm curious if this will ever become a factory installed option and save us the cost of selling the factory red lights on ebay. It would seem simple enough, they should cost the same or just slightly more than standard ss/rs lights, electrically the same except maybe red leds instead of clear for the brake/turn. I believe they are a factory option on the z06.

I hear ya! Worth it for a professional appearance from OEM part.

This will complete the look I was going for. Blade spoiler, dark tail lights, black bow ties on nightfall gray.

Going to wait until people start getting their lights before I order mine (if I do). When you guys placed your order at the dealers, did they give you a price?

I was quoted $550 MSRP. My cost $469. I will post pictures when they arrive

you know what would be really cool is if you put just one tail light in, then in the dark took a shot of them illuminated as running lights like when headlights are on, and one with the brakes being applied so we could really see them side by side and know how much less bright (if at all) the dark one are.
