Launch Control and Transmission
Before I get flamed I did my research but I'm still confused...
I tried the launch control and I don't believe I did it right... You mash the brake as hard as you can and then full open throttle afterwards or is it simultaneously? I have the 8 speed automatic... Another thing and this is the sad part... I don't believe I did it correctly. I just kind of edged the rpm up to 2000 and i could feel the car wanting to lurch. When I took off it was fine. and I did this only twice. When I am in lower rpms accelerating normally... the shifts are ever so slightly lurchy then it is smooth at normal speeds but when braking you can feel the ever so slightly pull sensation... Did I mess up my car and warranty? ![]()

hold the brake all the way and the throttle. the car will hold at or around 2k rpm if done right.

Yes, it wants to "lurch" a little. It does feel like your trying to ruin the transmission.
