I like the 17 1LE on that list.

lol, ya I can see that going over well trying to sell it private party. "2015 used ZL1 20k miles for sale. Welded in cage, never tracked only driven to get groceries".

I have tracked a new GT350 and a 2016 SS earlier this year, they were both great (except A8 getting hot). If ford does not keep making the GT350, it probably will hold value better than all on the list. I know we are Camaro guys, bet where are the porsche fans?
I think ownership cost with a Porsche may reduce the love a little bit.

A new 1LE with warranty and track tech stuff would be nice too if the dealers don't price gouge. By the time you can get the 1LE, Used Z's will be priced the same. Tough choice, mean ass z or latest and greatest 1LE, ya can't go wrong with either one if ya got the dough. There's something about the Z, I know it's a rough rider but I still want one in my garage and would daily drive it too. Like gt350s too but too much $ right now for me.
Some nice '14 Zs out there, but warranty is almost gone. Personally, I would hesitate based on that reason alone.

Thats whats cool about NOLA Motorsports park here in the New Orleans metro, just grass only one wall, and if U manage to hit it U most likely should not be out there.

A plus with going 2017 1LE is that it has the FE4 suspension - same as in the ZL1.

If I had the option to either get a 2017 1LE or a 2015 z28, both being about the same price, I'd pick the z28 all day, every day.

1:42 at laguna seca is verrry fast. i know there's another 5th gen 1le owner on this forum who ran 1:43's completely stock.

i would wait for a 6th gen 1le. sounds like they're going to be amazing.

Why, LS7?

1- Not sure how anyone could say that with zero tests out, and nobody having driven one yet...

2- Even if the Z28 has slightly better performance it will have no where near the ride quality, and you are saddled with that pretty cheap 5th gen interior.

I thought about this, and was offered a left over Z28 for low 50's at my dealer a few months ago. It was a blast to drive, but it rode very harshly, and even with the nice seats, I just couldn't get past the interior, so I passed. If this was going to JUST be a track car, different story. But it will be a weekend car with a few track days a year. So those compromises were definitely not worth it...

That was the allure for me. A real 427. In a track car. How much better can it get.
After sitting in the 6th gen then sliding into a Z/28 on the dealer floor....I agrree with SS 1LE...the interior just killed any excitement.

Funny thing is, it's not a 427...it's a 428. GM just rounded down so not to have to use a more common Ford number.

I don't really care about the "tests", the LS7 is the allure to me. Plus the wheels, brakes, body, spoiler, etc. I'm sure the 1LE is going to be amazing, but unless this was a daily driver, if given the choice I think most people would pick the z28 if both were around the same price.
