2016 ss leather seat pad defect

I have about 3100 miles on my camaro now and I've noticed on the passenger and drivers seats where there are impressions left under the perforated leather on the butt pad and back pads. The car doesn't have many miles and can say that the leather has been lightly cleaned once and conditioned with lexol. Wasn't sure if anyone else has had this issue with theirs or if I just happen to be unlucky on this one. Will be going to contact my dealer this week to have it taken care of. Its hard to see in the pictures compared to in person. I had a hard time taking a good one. I can feel the small craters in the seat easily with my hand. I thought it was a spot on the seat until I tried wiping it and noticed the depressions.

It's a little tough to see, but I haven't noticed anything in my seats. Maybe the foam underneath is missing some material. Kind of weird to have it in both your seats though.

I thought it was dirty in the pic as well. Looked at it after i took it and it was the camera flash making the plastic look that away.

I doubt it is but could it be warped leather? If so, and with the millage you have I believe its considered a factory defect, although it does not look horrible in the pics. My buddies C7 had that issue and it kept happening over and over again. They replaced the seat covers 3 times under warrenty, it pissed him off. He traded in his C7, not because of that but multiple other issues he had with it.

It don't really look warped or wrinkled. Feels like the foam is just going to hell. Have pretty much had it with this car already and wish i had my g8 back lol.

It's for the cooled seats. My Ford Super Duty has the same thing.

If You think it looks BAD now, Wait till the Dealer orders and installs New seat covers!!!! I can't see anything in your pic's, If it is as bad as You say, Take it back to the Dealer and Take your Chances. Good Luck!!!

My front seats look similar to those but I'm not bothered by the way they look. I tend to agree with Drags1998 that they might look worse than better if the covers are replaced. Good luck with your Camaro.

I visited the dealer and they claimed it was the cooled seats that make it look like that. Wasn't sure how true that was without looking at another one with leather.

I don't see anything like that on my seats after 4k miles. I did have a problem with the leather pulling out from under the bezel around the tilt lever on the shoulder of the driver's seat, though. The dealership replaced the seat cover a couple of weeks ago and it looks like brand new. I'm sure the quality of the job depends on the skill of the technician replacing the cover, but it can definitely be done where you'd never know.

The leather seats in my 2015 Silverado LTZ were just like this. I could feel it and, sometime when i moved around in the seat, the seat made this weird "popping" sound. I haven't noticed any issues so far with the seats in my SS.
