All of that contributes how to fast it feels.
Agreed. I had a 2013 2SS 1LE before I upgraded to the 2016 2SS. I think you are experiencing a combination of things. The LT1 makes power a bit differently than the LS motors. The broad torque curve and VVT feels different, it just pulls from idle to redline. It doesn't have that turbo effect where you lag and then get a nice dose of torque later on. The other thing as mentioned is that this chassis is much more refined so it tends to be less "raw" if you know what I mean. For example, you can go drive a little Miata and 50mph in that car feels like you are doing 80mph because, it is light, loud, convertible low to the ground, etc. You have all the senses working on that little car. However, in the SS we are basically riding on a ATS Cadillac chassis and 80mph feels like 50mph.

I just think you need to get some times on your car just to verify you are not having a problem. You can use the simple 0-60 timer and see what you can get. Also, this car is crazy fast. If you are cruising on the highway at 70mph and just give a touch of throttle you will be in triple digits in no time.

The other thing you may be experiencing is the change in gearing. I think the manual has pretty tall gearing, I think 80mph in 2nd gear?

Thank you for everyone's comments. I will say I times from a stand still or from second the car does pull. However at other times despite being at appropriate rpms I just does not feel fast to me. My car is always kept in sport or track modes. For ex. When down shifting from 4th to 3rd with wide open throttle I just does not honestly pull like my mustang. Just my honest opinion here. I am not a current mustang owner who is bashing bc of jeously! I have google this issue and this was an occasional complaint in the 5 gens. Apparently the problem lessen at the 5 to 7 K mark.

For the record, I am not person who generally complains. I have never taken any of my other cars in under warrant. Each of the 4 times the car has been in the shop a repair was made! On the positive side, both dealers have been very helpful. Also after speaking with a manger GM has sent me a 500 accessory credit.

Take it to a track. Run some 1/4s. If it sux, sell it.
Until then, it is obvious you judge a car differently than everyone else.
This Camaro is stupid fast. It hauls aSS.

Yeah im in the same boat as you. I had been waiting a long time to purchase this car, but it has been nothing but problems for me and i honestly wish i had went another route. This is the only new car i've had that's has given me this much problems. I guess that's what we get for letting some kids in pajamas build our cars. I've lost all faith in GM and will most likely never look their way again once i get rid of this car.

Trade it in for a 2017 ZL1. This should solve most of your acceleration sensation problems.

You sure you are hitting the right pedal? Mine pulls good, unless you bog it obviously like 4th gear @ 45 mph which another poster said... which honestly even at the it starts to go after a couple of seconds lol. Use your 0to60 timer and tell us what you are getting that'll knock out any doubts for sure.

Put it into manual mode and punch it through the gears, you'll have no problem hitting triple digits.

OP, I'm not trying to be a DB... I'm trying to help. For example, my M6 fifth gens, 04 GTO, and 98 Regal GS (low 13s) felt faster than the sixth gen I have now. But they weren't even close. I think you're correct to get it on a dyno. High 300's or low 400's on a Mustang dyno will help settle your mind. And if you do take it to the track, be careful that you understand what the DA is on that day.

Could you describe the suspension popping? Does it make sounds when slowly pulling into/out of parking spots? Mine makes a sound from the front driver side.
