Finally found the right part #'s for the aux radiators used in the SS. I got them from a friend of mine that is also a GM regional parts Director for the Houston area. More to come in the coming weeks.

I think the A8 is excelent, it could be faster when manual shifting, but left in auto and sport or track Mode, it is just great.

Three 20 min sessions at Track Night. Temp got as high as 200 during the last 2 sessions, no hotter. Was a little worried it might get hotter but it never did.

I assume you have the aux cooling on yours? Mine doesn't have aux cooling.

There is some confusion about that, how can I tell? There were three cars I was looking at and none had the same set options but one did come with some upgrade related to cooling. But I seem to recall it was a larger or extra capacity radiator? Mine does not indicate on the sticker that it does, but it does not list the Bose stereo and other items for example.

Under 'mechanical' it only lists 'Engine Oil Cooler' and nothing related is listed under 'options'.

Should I be able to tell by looking under the car?

There are no additional coolers to add or option on the SS models, all have the same coolers from the factory.

I have the A8. I absolutely love it. I was completely in the middle between A8 and M6 but I am enjoying every moment of the A8. I've yet to try out the paddle shifters though but will be in a couple days so I will update that when I get the chance.

What exactly does "less talented" mean? Did you have it in competitive/performance mode?

I need it. aftermarket systems will not work with this car since the pipes are quick connects. Unless I do some cutting which I would like to avoid.
I thought you could get the HD cooling/ SS setup on the v6? Or is it only some of it?

There have been a handful of times a 6M would have been nice but I am beyond happy with my A8. I LOVE this car. I have had over 30 cars. This one takes the cake. Truly an amazing machine and I would have no problem telling you if I wasn't happy with it.

Good luck!

Was back at the track last week and it was hot again, 90+. Was in the intermediate class, so full on laps for all three sessions. Never saw the transmission temp go over 200.
