Kaizer...As I understand how it works in TN. The plate will be available for pick up at your local County Clerk office within the last five working days of the month following the month the plate was approved. So if your plate was approved in July, it should be available for pick by the end of August.

I wish I didn't drive mine as much. I've got 2200 already and that's before going up to Detroit and back in a few weeks. I'm getting the miles in. Really need to consider saving up and getting a dedicated DD and saving the 50 for fun.

Nothing wrong with driving it. But yeah I second the DD route. It's what I've been doing.

I've been balancing things pretty good with mine. I use my DD to go to work or work related things. I only live 4 miles round trip from work. For everything else I do I use the Camaro, unless I just washed it and it's supposed to rain. Already left it in the garage a few times for that situation.

This is just my opinion but personally, I don't really mind the miles on the car. We all know that as soon as we drove it off the lot there goes 20% off its value. So enjoy your cars as often as possible. These things are meant to be driven not kept in a garage. I might be stuck in traffic going to/from work but I'm the guy who has a big grin on his face enjoying my car and my commute when everyone else is miserable. I just started a collection so I'm planning to keep mines and pass it on to my kids. Fully restored classics are really valuable.

Man that's rough. I have my insurance set up so I can't drive it 3 months of the year: December, January, and February. Come March 1st it becomes a game time decision, based on if it is snowing, how much residual salt is on the road etc. That was with my old car anyway.

I had to put my husband as 90% driver even though it's my car. I accidentally lightly scratched a masaratti while parallel parking last year. We should have just paid the lady but we went through insurance. Now I'm paying the price.

Bummer. Sorry to hear that.

I keep debating doing a seasonal insurance plan on my Camaro. David told me about his and I see several others here talk about it too.

The good thing about living in Tennessee is that we don't have to worry about no dadgum Masarattis! Mostly pick-ups and jeeps down here.

Yes I'd say most people around here are in high end Mercedes but every single day I see multiple masarattis I see ferraris and Lamborghinis weekly there was a McLaren parked on the street the other day - who does that???? I have $100,000 coverage because it's very likely to hit a high end car any day of the week. Even the higher end range rovers are expensive. People here are CAR CRAZY! But not in the same way I am lol.

Not even a week yet, and I've got 364 miles so far. Got it with 19 on it. I will come up with just about any and all excuses to drive it. I can't possibly overstate how much I love this thing.

However...it's in the body shop for today and tomorrow. When I picked it up from the dealership, it had 1 dent in the driver side C pillar, and a deep scratch on the driver side mirror. I believe they scratched it while moving it into or out of the showroom floor. Scratch had the same paint on it as their showroom doorframe.

Since I noticed those after 5pm, everyone who could correct them were already gone. So they told me to get them fixed at my local Chevy body shop, and they would write me a check for the full amount of the repair.

I miss it so much.

-_-
