They did change the diff fluid for free ... not that it takes any amount of time to do.

The tech that put the black bowties and centercaps on the car chipped up the paint on my deck lid probably trying to pry the emblem off so they are taking my car to a body shop today to have that fixed and there are scratches on my gauge cluster cover that are only visible in just the right light, but they are replacing that too. I don't even know how someone would have scratched that cover.

I got a call and they are not seeing the misfire so .... wtf ... now I likely have an intermittent driveability problem....
The cluster plastic cover probably got scratched when some tech tossed their scan tool, or some other tool, in there. When I brought mine in for the mylink update I left my cams on and watched the tech literally toss the scanner onto my dash, right where the hud is, through the open window. I called and bitched, they wanted to give me free service vouchers, like I'd bring my car back after seeing how it's treated. Big huge F**K NO!

What kind of cameras did you have in the car, and where did you put them? That's not a bad idea to have video coverage of what these idiots are doing in our vehicles.

In the front I have a SGZC12RC and in the back a SG9665GC, both hardwired into my rear fuse box. The front is mounted on the back of my rearview and has a 135 degree FOV, so it gets the dash too. Both have audio, it was enlightening to hear what the techs were saying. Like hearing the one who went to drive my car into the bay(but couldn't) swear because it was a stick, then another tech mumbling under his breath as he pulled my car in, about what a tool the first tech was for not knowing how to drive a stick.

I couldn't relax at all parking anywhere before I installed them. Together I spent about $350, both have motion and g-sensor, the RC also has a pre-buffer. Amazinglvideo quality too. If anyone hits me, and runs, I'll at least have a plate number.

That's awesome. I'm definitely getting these. I just bought an escort max360 and blendmount to the tune of around $800 so i'll have to wait for my next paycheck to order these. Can you show pics of where you installed the front camera sensor and where on the rear window you put the rear camera?

I can't seem to get more than one pic in a post. Rear cam is top centered on back window, in the red antenna box. The gps sensor in way down in the corner of the back window, under the black dotty stuff, totally invisible inside and out. Front cam is harder to explain. The back of the rearview is curved outward, so just using the 3m tape didn't cut it. I zip tied the mount. Also the SGZC12RC has a base unit with a screen that I keep in glove box. Mic comes built into that, I modified and added a few feet of wire to mount the mic with the lens unit.

Wish I could add more pics, that one makes it seem so obvious and it's so not. From inside the car, driver or passenger side, you can't even see the cam or wires. And from outside, it's almost invisible, most people only notice it at night because of the tiny green light it emits. I could cover the light, and most people ask why I don't, I want people to know they're being recorded. I don't want to catch who messed up my car after the fact, I want to prevent it from getting messed up to begin with.

I'm not quite done with the whole set up. I have a 90 degree adapter coming for the front cam so the cord will go up into the headliner a smidge neater. Also have cpl lenses coming for both to cut down on dash glare on really bright days. Between the two cams I have everything I wanted. Constant video when needed, parking mode with motion and g-sensor feedback, pre-buffered to catch a few seconds before any incident, and gps to record my speed and location.

Do you get a lot of reflection of the dash with the lens so far from the windshield? I just got a 12RC and was considering mounting it on the mirror as you did, but I ended up mounting it on the glass right at the bottom of the dotted area so the lens is right up to the glass.

I haven't noticed much glare from the windshield, when there is a glare it usually comes off the dash, right where the vents are, so always very low in any video. I debated on mounting flush on the windshield, but it made it too noticable to me while driving and I wanted the wider FOV that having it back a bit gives me. I hooked it up and tested quite a few spots before settling on rearview mounting.

Thanks for all the details on this!

In other news the body shop repainted my entire deck lid and want the paint to sit for a couple days to cure before putting the stripe back on it.

I haven't had my car since the 11th.
