Who has the GM Lowering Kit?

Curious as to if the kit comes complete with everything needed....and if the springs come installed on the strut/shock already....

Are you happy with how much the kit lowered the car and the ride?

I know Eibachs are way cheaper...but to do it right...you almost have to replace the struts/shocks at the same time to eliminate the lowering "bounce" most lowering springs have...

I've been running it since the first week I had the car. In terms of the ride quality, I just don't think you can expect anything better from a lowered car. Admittedly, I haven't ridden in a lowered springs 2016 Camaro, but I have on many other cars. It takes the big bumps harder for sure, but it did the same thing stock.

In terms of the ride height, the rear sits perfect. And to most guys, the front would too. But I really want the front down more. I like my cars slammed, and it certainly isn't slammed. Once coilovers are released for the car, I might swap out to get that perfect stance.

I test drove many SS to help decide exactly the ride I wanted. I drove one with the Performance package that included the lowering kit, and the difference was significant. I had the kit installed at the dealership and negotiated sizable savings off MSRP. No one at the dealership had seen a Camaro with this stance, and even the non car guys liked the look. The springs and struts are specifically engineered by GM and everything is included, though they use some stock bits off the struts on the new components. They also spend time dialing it into the new specs during alignment, and will give you the sheet with the numbers on it.

Part of my attraction to this vehicle was the option of keeping it simple and fixed at optimum performance levels, and not have the tech involved in dynamic dampers. Lateral grip feels tighter and if possible, even more planted and transfer feels quicker. If you live where the majority of the roads are decent, I highly recommend it, especially if you plan to add power.

Are you referring to the "performance enthusiast package" I saw on a window sticker on one of the SS models at my dealer? It was listed at $2500 on the sticker...... I am not sure what all of this included, anybody know?
