Nightfall Grey Metallic

Hi all...
First post. I've been lurking for a while researching and shopping 2016 Camaro 2SS. This week I got a private offer that is good until 8/1 and I'm hoping to do a deal this weekend. I'm eyeballing a 2016 2SS at a local dealer which is optioned just how I want it optioned (A8 w/ NPP). My only reservation is the NFG metallic color.

I'm typically a white or silver guy because those colors hide scratches well and generally (I think) are easy to care for. I like the look of the NFG but am wondering how others who have that color find it to be with keeping it clean, scratches, chips, etc. I've had one black car in my life and will never do it again. I just don't want to go with the NFG and have a similar experience.

Great forum. Lots of good information here! Thanks!

I love mine. I also had the same color on a 1981 when I was sixteen so I am biased.

It looks lighter grey closeup. With a sealer on mine the metallic spots really pop. Two months, zero scratches.

I get a CRAZY amount of compliments about how "pretty" my car is. Mostly from females. So....yeah, it's an effective color!

I can't tell you what it is like to live with, because I ended up with a black one, but the nightfall grey was my first choice. I think it looks really sharp.

I said the same thing about a black car...still have it for the winter actually. The picture in my signature is the car without a wash in two weeks and my daily round trip commute is 80 miles. It's had the full blackfire treatment (early June), so I don't know how much that plays into it. If I could do it all over again, I'd stay NFG.

It will not show dirt like a black car. It will not hide it as much as a white car. I have a CGM and it's very easy to car for. My next vehicle will be NFG. Love it that much.

That NFG is a very attractive color! Welcome to the forum and good luck with your decision.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I went to take a look at the car last night and I have to say I like the color. Only thing I noticed was a pretty good ding, right in the middle of the passenger door! I'm sure it was from a careless lot attendant. Gives me even more pause because it has a pretty good crease in it. Not sure that it could be removed and you not see it. Ugh.
