The severity varies depending on how cold you like it in the car and how humid it is outside. One thing I did was go into settings and set the "auto" fan speed to low instead of the default of medium. This helps make the condensation crop circles a bit smaller. If you drive around at 72-73 degrees and the sun is shining I don't get the condensation build up but if it gets really humid like right after a thunderstorm or early in the morning it will require the wipers on an intermittent setting.

Based on the above statements, good luck getting any higher than O-4.

Sorry folks. I apologize for this.
C6 crew - sorry for getting off track with personal issues. And thanks to this thread, I'll go in & adjust the fan setting to LOW - never thought to do that.

Senior, PM sent. You may understand a little better after reading it.

I did the rag mod over the weekend (threw a rag over the vent). Looks like shipt but the windshield didn't fog up on the way to work this morning.

Got my new Camaro on Saturday. Took my 1LT in this morning for a different HVAC issue (on Sunday's 1 1/2 hour drive home it was only blowing hot air regardless of the temperature or A/C on/off) and got huge fog "crop circles" on my window. Varying the temperature, turning recirculate on/off, changing from 'auto' to manually controlling the vents, nothing helped.

I did notice that, when set to the main air vents ONLY, air was blowing weakly from the main vents but strong from the windshield vent.

Another thread alluded to the HVAC control module being faulty and my service advisor agreed. It's been over 8 hours since I dropped my car off so thinking that they might have found something instead of "cannot duplicate, car working as intended" so in holding out hope they found an issue and are working on correcting.

I do hope they find/fix something, where you live in Florida, the fogging happens more, here in Texas where I'm at, it's too dry, but I did experience it last month early in the morning. Going in this coming Monday to have rattle fixed on passenger side B-pillar, might see if they will change my oil. Let us know what they find, I'll use your fix and have them try to do the same on mine......If they can!

Well just got off the phone with my service adviser, it is indeed the HVAC control module that was causing problems. Replacement part coming direct from Michigan, unfortunately he said it's a bit back-ordered and is scheduled to arrive on Monday.

As disappointed as I am that I'll be without my car until next week, I am rather relieved that they DID find a faulty part. Interesting that it's on back-order, although after seeing a few threads on here I'm not entirely surprised.

Good luck getting that rattle taken care of! Can't wait to get my Camaro back; already put 300 miles on it in the 3 days I've owned it and it's been 300 of the most fun miles that I've driven

Did you set the vents to the defrost setting? Or were they set to your dashboard vents blowing towards yourself? If defrost, sounds like an HVAC control module issue not sending air to the right vents. If it was your main vents, consider yourself lucky.

main vents, turned defrost on and it started coming out... it seems this is a universal problem though and i'm wondering if there's just enough trickle of cold air im not feeling that would cause a problem back in my hometown in the deep south

Oy vey, thanks. I'll definitely post an update as it progresses.

Yeah, I've been getting that feeling too.

I snapped the attached pic this morning while waiting in line at my dealership's service department. You can see when the sun hits it it completely blocks the view... I can't accept this not being a defect. My 2013 Chevy Equinox I traded in didn't do this, the 2017 Equinox they gave me as a loaner doesn't do this, nor did a 2012 Buick LaCrosse, 2008 Kia Rio, or even my first car, a 1990 Dodge Dynasty. All down here in lovely uber-humid Florida.

(And yes, when I say "it didn't do this" I am referring to normal A/C use. Of course it'll fog up if you turn the defrost on with cold air, but that shouldn't happen with NORMAL use.)

They might be trying to figure out the correct wording to put on the window sticker

Excessive fogging on windshield will be present while running A/C, this condition is normal and is a characteristic of this car.
