MSD Intake - Installing headers should i do this also?

Do you think its worth 1k? I order headers and a catback and i was really thinking about calling back and adding this to the order. Any thoughts?

It won't hurt a bit. But you definitely will want to have it tuned.

My tuner is 2 hours away. Would it be safe to drive a couple of days without the tune? (Headers, MSD and cold air)

i would do it! I have a CAI, Ported tb, and msd intake and it really increased the power in the upper rpm's. I'm really satisfied with the results from those 3 add on's. I am also currently putting on a full SW system. Long tube headers, cat-delete, x-pipe, and npp axle back. have the old system off and will be putting the new one on tomorrow hopefully if time permits. I'm hoping that everything will complement each other to make pretty strong running car after i get it tuned.

Those are just bolt ons. He won't have any issues going full throttle while waiting to get tuned, just won't be taking full advantage of the potential power. i have headers myself. No issues going full throttle
