No 93 octane around here
Has anyone else had an issue with 93 octane not being available. I'm thinking of using octane boost, possibly. Don't know enough to anticipate possible issues, is there a maximum octane limit for the LT-1? Just looking for ideas.

91 octane is fine. Anything below 91 is iffy.

Higher altitude areas tend to offer less octane as the cars really don't benefit it

No issues here, all stations near me offer 93. We even have no ethanol gas here.

Pretty much the whole east coast has 93, it's when you get out west where there's 91 in most places

I can get 93 anywhere I drive in Texas. And alot of the surrounding states have it. |

I'm lucky. There's only one gas station with 93. They better not go anywhere any time soon!

Most of Colorado is 85 87 91 and a few places sell 101 racing fuel.
I've had no issues using 91 at all. |

I never realized some areas didn't have 93 at the pumps. We have Sunoco's everywhere around here, some have 94, but all I've seen have at least 93.
Poor west coast bastards, no 93 at the pumps and no Fluff? How do you survive? |

I wouldn't use octane booster that you buy off the shelf.
If that's what you want to use lots of people myself included have had good success using Torco. I run 32oz. can Torco to every fill-up 93 octane. Daily drive the car. |
