Also when it asks for model year choose 16. Most places haven't updated their sites to reflect 17 model years and cross over compatibility with 16 model year.

For most people that install them, they seem to be for aesthetic value. For me, I live pretty much in the desert on the outskirts of the city. We don't have a very established streetlight network out where I live yet so any extra light, front or back, helps immensely. Not to mention the benefits LED's have over traditional bulbs such as lower heat output, lower energy consumption, longer lasting between changes, and better lumens per watt. I mean, we have LED's for interior lights so its beyond me why GM chose regular bulbs to be fitted in some of the exterior lights.

For Backup, you have to install:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Because there is a small amount of voltage that travels in that circuit that is enough to dimly light the LED's. It may run your battery down eventually so you install the load resistor (which is super easy to do IMO) to get rid of that issue. Sledgehammer70 did a video on the install but he used some crazy wiring harness that required tooling for it to fit.

Backup Bulbs:
https://www.amazon.com/Partsam-Rever...ilpage_o06_s00

For License plate: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You don't need the Phillips load resistor for the backup lights.

Thanks for the info! You must be out in west Texas. Not much desert around the Austin area.

DANG!! I can't possibly overstate how much I love this site.

Kendell347 was looking out for me. He also tried a few times just as Kaizer_911 did to get me a PO. Wasn't able to. Jeremeymt was able to get one that he didn't need, and Kendell347 got him my info.

So now I finally have the elusive July 2017 PO, and I pick up my car tomorrow! Things are lining up quite nicely.

Now I am noticing the butterfly feeling forming as tomorrow gets closer. Starting to freak out...in a good way. I think. Maybe.

I can't properly explain how much I appreciate that. I'm sorry to have wasted so much of your time. You're a good man. I totally owe you a beer or something.

I'm seriously in full on freak out mode right now. I can't still still and do anything. This is both exciting and scary at the same time.

Mostly exciting though.
