I put the Spigen vent mount on my drivers side center vent (with the temp adj ring). My iPhone 6 plus just fits. As Merlin said above, the vent is a little inset but because the spigen magnet mount sticks out, it seems to work. No the vent mount is not pressed all the way in but enough to hold the phone.

The 6 plus phone just BARELY fits though, height wise. The bottom of my phone sits on the chrome shifter bezel and the top just tucks under the display bezel. It actually is a pretty good spot but for two things: The phone completely blocks the vent, and because of the height issue, I could not have the phone plugged in. My phone just has a minimal case that doesn't even add height (or if anything 0.5mm top and bottom).

On Carplay, I was really looking forward to it. But the couple of times I've actually used it, it just annoyed me really. Partly because I normally use Google Maps and Waze. But on an hour drive with my wife, we tried to listen Stitcher, picking podcasts and it was really annoying. We gave up and just went back to XM. I think Carplay simplifies it so it was really hard to pick a program and stuff. And, listening to Apple Music through carplay, it wouldn't put the song info to my HUD, but doing the same but through BT, it would.

I turned off carplay... it's too invasive and glitchy.. if I want to run waze while using it, it will close my waze in order to access my texts etc.. no idea why it has to make changes to my phone screen instead of just making changes on the NAV screen of the car.. just isn't smooth enough for me to use... too annoying at this point, maybe i'll give it a go again during a future update.

I tried several of the cellphone holders that have been mentioned in the forums, but they either couldn't hold my Samsung Note 5, I hated having my A/C vent blocked or they wouldn't stay stuck to any surface in my car, so I finally found the perfect holder.

The arm is really stiff and doesn't move while I'm driving, but you can bend it to the position that you'd like. Also, the magnet/pivot can be positioned how you'd like it as well, but doesn't move while driving and the magnet is able to hold my Samsung Note 5 w/a case on it w/o any issues.
