Annoying water spots.

Anybody have any tips on removing these and preventing them? They're all over the car...

White vinegar and water works. make like a 50/50 solution in a spray bottle and they should come off rather easy.

But to avoid it all together I'd seal your paint after you clean off the water spots.

spray wax and a microfiber towel, lubes the paint while you wipe the spots off and adds a layer of protection in the process

Most spray waxes won't take off water spots, especially if the water spot is mineral based. Fine polish will usually take them off if the vinegar above doesn't work. A good polish at your auto parts store is Meguires 205, follow with meguires Quik wax.

My experience is, it usually takes polishing to remove water spotting.
To keep from getting them in the future it helps if you keep a good coat if protection like a sealant or a carnauba wax.

Dry your car after u wash it. Regular rain doesn't leave water spots on my car unless it was just washed.

I attached a $40 Culligan whole house water filter to my hose and I got a spot free rinse! I don't know how many rinses I will get from this one filter, so I don't know if it is cost effective yet.

Other options:
rinse car with distilled water after wash at 59 cents per gallon
spot free rinse system for $200-500

Glad to see you got them off. What kind of pad did you use?
