Just to clarify, this was not a dealer issue. The vehicle was in control of the 3rd party logistics group. Even Becky could not control it (even though, knowing Becky, she would have been such a thorn in someone's A$$ that they would have figured it out earlier).

I under stand that ..but the dealer doesn't seem to be doing anything that is going in the right direction...and for a very long time..me,,I would of bailed and went else where.....I don't think it would happen to the same person twice if he re-ordered a 17...that's all I'm saying...Plus would Chevrolet has some type of system knowing a vin number hasn't been paid for yet by the dealer?

You are right, this was an isolated case and was very unfortunate.

As far as being paid, vehicles are considered sold as soon as they leave the plant, I am sure the dealer paid for it.

I have also explained the process myself several times..... once the car leaves the plant it is handled by a third party. It is not GM's fault. Wasn't with my car either.......

The vehicles are bonded to the party that is responsible for it. Logistics company, carrier company, rail system. Unfortunately now it waits for a train ride.
