Another one bites the dust(maybe)

1400 miles on it, didn't even make my first payment. All because an elderly guy who had NO business being on the road stops in the fast lane for no reason...new Pathfinder towing a huge boat who was speeding had absolutely no shot in stopping 8,000+ pounds....

My first brand new car, I've had a few low mileage certified pre-owned cars but never a brand new off of the showroom car.....I don't even want it back. I doubt the estimate figure will total it out but that car will never, ever be the same.

Now I have to deal with insurance companies, medical bullshit(I have no health insurance I JUST started a new and awesome job 3 weeks ago), adjusters, etc.

****....just...****....sorry for the language but I'm pissed beyond belief right now...

That sucks.

Since the airbags didn't deploy what are your chances of them totaling the car? Both ends too, that's a shame.

So sorry to hear. Glad youre ok though. But man I just made my 1st payment and I swear I had a couple of close calls already in this car, from being cut off then said idiot slamming on her breaks, to some other idiot in a truck trying to sideswipe me, had yet another idiot tailgate me WAAAYYYY too close and this incident in particular pissed me off more due to my 5 yr old lil girl riding with me.

That sucks so much. I hope your back injury isn't serious.

I was just in a similar situation last week, but thankfully I was in the left lane on the highway, and was able to swerve onto the should to avoid getting rear ended. Unfortunately for the car in front of me, the car that would have rear ended me nailed them instead and pushed them into the next car.

+1

there needs to be a law that forces ppl after age 65 to retest yearly. I've been fortunate so far, but know at least 6 people personally who have been in an accident caused by an elderly person to selfish to quit driving when they should have.

man so sorry bro and I hope you feel better. You mentioned that you don't have health insurance but you do have full coverage on your SS. I'm sure the insurance on either end will help somewhat.

I think they wont total it out unless the damages are close to or equal to the cars worth. At least that's what I was told by my insurance along time ago when I hit a deer.

I know some people on here will disagree but when someone reaches a certain age they should not be allowed to drive . Their reflexes are slower and their vision isn't as crisp so keep them off the road cuz they are a liability

I would be so pissed as well and you have every right to vent ur frustration cuz I see it everyday with the elderly people that drive. They seem so nervous behind the wheel.
