Mustang, Challenger & 5th Gen Owners Can Be Respectful

Today I was driving to the gym and a mustang (who was in the opposite lane and was leaving the gym) saw each other on the road and we both gave a heads up to one another, kinda like saying hey, you have a really cool car. A subtle thing but kinda cool..........

Another instance of fellow muscle car owners being respectful to one another, I was leaving the grocery store and a challenger parked next to me. I was loading the groceries into my camaro and the owner came out of his challenger and just started talking to me about my car. He asked me if that was the new 2016 Camaro...We talked for 40 minutes...

Even a 5th gen Camaro owner came up to me and asked me if that was the new 2016 Camaro. He had a sweet black RS 2014 Camaro. Again, we talked for about 30 minutes.

It's amazing how much attention that the 2016 Camaro gets on the street from just about everybody. Of course, they love the hyper blue color and that's usually how these conversations start OR people just ask me if that's the new Camaro.................

Sometimes we here a lot of negative thoughts from other car owners but I wanted to share some of my positive stories regarding my Camaro....AND with all of the bad stuff that goes on in the world today it's nice to share some feel good stories............................

Bottom line is at some level we are all enthusiasts, just with different preferences. Nothing wrong with that at all. Appreciate your taking the time to post.

Agreed. I tend to think that one of our greatest failures as a society is selfishness. Some people feel the need to not only tell everyone else how they feel but to prove they are right too. It's a selfish attitude because it does nothing to validate anyone other than themselves. I don't care for imports but if I walk around saying imports are garbage what am I accomplishing? I'm sure people think my ProStreet Camaro is a complete waste and they hate the color.

As I've said many times over, If you were an expert your opinion would matter to me but you're not and it doesn't.

Do what makes you happy cuz life is short and don't run around offending people for no reason. There will just be fewer people at your funeral.

It's disheartening that 2 of them had to ask you if your car was the new 2016. Especially the Camaro owner.
Hopefully they were just using that line as an opener to engage in conversation.

If not, then GM didn't do its job well.

Cool story.
So you were out in the parking lot talking to both of them for 70 minutes? I hope you didn't buy any ice cream.
