Same issue here, especially this morning.

Lurker's advice to take the A/C off of Auto seems to be a workaround that worked for me.

That doesn't work for me. Here in NC it's always humid except for possibly in February. I've tried venting air to every area (chest, feet etc.) and it still fogs up the bottom of the windshield. It's a minor nuisance.

I don't have dual climate control and also have had this issue since we bought the car. Every car I've owned has done this to some extent periodically (not every time I used the AC). But it is excessive all the time on the Camaro. I've tried all the different settings, nothing helps. There may be "nothing wrong", but I think it's a poorly designed HVAC system if this is "normal". No sense in pursuing this issue as Chevrolet will just say it's normal. It's a minor inconvenience at best.

The service manual does state this on page. 179, "Operation in the recirculation mode while the air conditioner is off increases humidity and may cause the windows to fog."

Yeah, but it says with the AC off. I think we all get this condensation with the AC on, when it is dehumidifying the air.

I've found a happy medium with my 2016 2SS, in Florida.
After the initial cool down period where I have the A/C on full (face & feet) I then raise the temp to 70 or so, that seems to ease the exterior fogging.

I agree, it's a design fault, and annoying.

What he said. In FLA as well and the humidity has made this a damn near constant since I picked it up Sat.

This might sound weird but I actually have a problem with the rear window fogging up. I live in AZ so there is very little humidity. Not sure if it's normal or not but very annoying. I will try to upload a picture later. It's right at the top of the rear window and it almost forms these weird looking circles.

Im noticing alot of posts from folks saying alot of cars do this and that its normal.

Its only normal with cars that have a design PROBLEM like this.

Had my 2006 Pontiac GTO for 10 years and could get it cold enough to hang meat inside, and never had my windshield fog up like my SS is doing. And ive been in the same SC climate the whole time too.

This may be "normal", but its only normal because of the design flaw of the AC/vents with this car.

There is also a thread on this in the Camaro issues/problems section:

Same here. My gto was a freezer and no fogging windshield. My camaro unfortunately I can't run the ac hardly at all or the windshield is covered in fog.

The shop Forman ran me around to other new Camaros on the lot and all the ones with dual zone climate control leak air out the defrost vents. The regular climate control doesn't seem to do it. If it was intended then with which version did Chevy fail? If you put your hand up there you can feel the air blow the whole time it's on, slight though it might be. To the guy who's always had this problem, I've been driving around 26 years now and I have had many vehicles. This one is the first one with mandatory defrost. I find it to be a huge safety concern. I drive about 20 min to work and my windshield will be fogged up about 30% by the time I arrive. If it's a feature I hope the windshield comes with free lifetime replacement because dry-firing my wipers due to poor engineering really pisses me off.

I've only noticed it a few times in my car, and it goes away within 5 minutes of driving and a few swipes of the wiper. I don't see it as much of a concern, just more of a slight annoyance.
Great points.

So is this happening to everyone on the inside of the windshield, outside, or both?

I did the Rainx anti fog treatment but im having the issue on the outside now. Most of the anti fog products say for inside use only.

Rain-X original on the inside and outside fixed it for me and while i'm not on the coast I get to enjoy all that great NC humidity. Apply it liberally but be careful you don't get any on your interior.
