Best cruise/drives in America?

Building off another thread. Something that should be here and I can't find.

Just curious what you guys think the best drives in the country are? What are some that are nationally recognized as really good, but also those that don't make the must do list. Do you have a scenic or challenging local gem that people would never hear about otherwise?

I'd love to cruise the Going-To-The-Sun Road in Glacier NP, and Monument Valley, UT. Where else should everyone try to go?

Cherohala Skyway, Skyline Drive, Moonshiner 28 from Deal's Gap down to the 4 lane.

I am looking at The Black Hills, Badlands, Devil's Tower, Mount Rushmore in September.

I 80 all the way through Nebraska
All kidding aside I am interested in hearing this. I absolutely loved the drive through the Rockie Mountain National Park I took in my Firebird several years ago. I 70 through Utah was pretty amazing too. There were some beautiful canyons.

The Black Hills are incredible. Mt Rushmore was almost anticlimatic after driving through them.

My suggestion as well. I'm in Key West right now on vacation. The drive from key largo to key west was amazing. Too bad I was in an Equinox and not the Camaro.

I did the Black Hills drive back in 2010 as I was moving from OH to WA. Incredible experience. We did however get stuck in the middle of a cattle train which was pretty funny. Hundreds of cows and baby cows being led by the cars...they were just walking right on the highway.

The Dragon is pretty cool but you need to go when it isn't crowded.

One drive that I would add is "The American Alps" in Washington State (State Route 20).

US-63 between Thayer, MO and Black Rock, AR during the third weekend of October is a really good one.

Hoxie is a cool town. I always liked putting in for a break there. You drive along Spring River (super clear and blue water) and put in at Mammoth Springs to stretch your legs.

Put this one in your back yard. J Road from US 54 to MO 7 over the Little Niangua. Left on 7 past Pie Acres and down to Climax Springs. MO 7 was rated one of the 10 best driving roads in the U.S. by Road & Track magazine in 1990.

The view from the bluffs past the bridge is truly picturesque.

One of my favorite roads to wring out my Lotus Europa S on.

Oh yeah, the sport bike crowd loves this one! I've been to Pie Acres, not many will know where it is. For a really good drive in Central MO here's one of the best, long directions but awesome to drive.

Start on MO-7 in Climax Springs, go East to 8.2mi to J road.
11.5mi on J then turn East on US-54, 6.5mi to D road.
Spend some time at Ha Ha Tonka S.P., the Castle is pretty cool.
Continue D road South until you get to MO-5, turn right (South) to Lebanon.
From Lebanon then turn West on MO-64 to Bennett Springs S.P.

Warm up your left leg and your right arm before you start M6 guys!
