Waze App/Google Maps vs Android Auto
I recently discovered, while phone is plugged in to AA via USB, Google Maps in use and have the Waze App open and visible on my phone screen, the audio system will speak to me the updates on traffic, hazards, etc from Waze..

How does one plug into a software program via usb?
Not trying to be an a, just want to be able to mimic what u r describing. I know if I have Google maps on my car tells me where to go regardless if the phone is plugged or not. I have an andriod phone but not AA. |

You can do the same thing in iOS. I just keep Waze running in the background if I'm using Apple Carplay and I still get all the alerts.
