NO News!

It is now 70 Days (10 Weeks) from when it was built and GENERAL MOTORS refuses to tell me or the owner of the dealership for what reason it is being held.

Couldn't you just re-order it and get your deposit back? I mean if it took that long and the 17's are out that is what I would do. Unless they offered you some big discount.

Too late to order a 2017, would not get it till early Sept? Deposit is No problem but I have a locked in trade deal. I still have hope to get before Aug?

Too Bad GENERAL MOTORS did not have someone that cared about their customers.

I tried to find this thread a few days ago to see if you ever got your car. This is ridiculous. I hope something happens soon. Good luck.

(They missed my TPW week so I hope that isn't a sign I'll have a similar problem. Just build it already.)

I spoke with someone that may be able to help. I discussed the dilemma I had and he said if I hear of it happening again to let him know. I will forward your order number. Hopefully it helps.

Is it a convertible car? We were just up to the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant as part of the Camaro Super Fest group for a tour. On our way out, we saw a yard full of Convertibles and they were ripping the tops off of them and probably fixing something. Looked to be a QC lot FULL of all Convertibles. Here is a video:

Video make no sense. They were not ripping tops off. No QC issue has been widely reported. 97one has a 2016 Camaro - I don't believe it is a Vert. I have a 2017 Vert in transit so there is not an issue holding up Verts. They do get staged differently because there is a lot more work to create them.

Sorry to hear all this. I'm in Toronto, so our entity is GM of Canada. However, when I had an issue between my dealer and GM, I sent a letter to GM of Canada in Oshawa. Plus, I sent a nasty note on Twitter to GM as well. The Twitter post really got to them, as I got my information about my build and they pm'd me with info and a promise to assist within 2-3 hrs.

I'd take it to social media, and see if that gets them going.....Good Luck.

They were ripping tops off on the Verts, I saw it with my own eyes. They had multiple people in the lot with 2 people to a car and they were taking the tops off the cars - I have no reason to make this up, seriously. I'm only guessing this was a QC lot because of what I saw. I have no idea if there is a wide spread issue. Just reporting what I saw.
