Some Mustang guys on a certain website I won't name like to say things like $4000 more for a Camaro SS isn't much for .3-.4 tenths in the 1/4 mile.

That may be true but they are dismissing the fact that eventhough an S550 with minor bolts will compete with a Camaro SS...it is still going to get crushed around the track without suspension modifications, and performance tires. By the way I am not going to debate whether it is .3-.4 difference or .5-.6 in the 1/4 mile.

They didn't want to make the Mustang look that bad by adding another second difference? I don't know. lol

No joke. That's why I always bring it up in the price comparisons. We have a performance run-flat tire that was built specifically for the Camaro.

I just checked on tirerack.com our tires on the SS are like 306 each for the fronts and $336 each for the rears. The tires on a base Mustang GT are $153 each. So, there is a $650 difference right there. You get what you pay for...

And now the 2017 Camaros are offering line lock so you can burn through those tires really quick.

I am just sure tire companies are sponsoring that feature.

The "low torque" comments on the Camaro were likely due to the 6.2L LT1 gasping for air at that altitude.

This video was pretty awful! LOL. Roman is a bit of hack as automotive journalists go!

Yeah, I am not impressed with these TFLcar reviews. You can just tell they don't know as much about the car as we enthusiasts do. I do enjoy watching the Motortrend journalists though. They are pretty sharp and of course they get Randy Pobst to hot lap them.

One thing that I find kind of funny is that I always thought the Mustang 5.0 was the best sounding V8 for years and now I think the LS3 and LT1 with NPP sounds much better. Also, all the journalist probably don't even know about NPP but they comment how much better the Camaro sounds.

Rented 2 new (4-6,000 miles Mustang GT's and a V6 eco boost which i wont get into from Budget rent a car in Florida over the past few months. All i can say is that there is no dam comparison in quality or performance to the Camaro SS period. The whole dam thing from the crappy sport+ modes to the shit sounding 5.0L. Given the car was not loaded but it was a GT....I'm sorry to have to bash the car but it just makes me wonder why even compare the dam 2. The Camaro is built like a tank compared to the cheap chrome plated tacky interior switches that the so called sporty Mustang has. Sorry just had to vent a little after seeing those videos lol

Mustangs don't have an ecoboost v6. Their ecoboost is a 4 cylinder. I have to agree with you on the shoddy workmanship. My 2014 Mustang was very poorly put together. Body panels didn't fit right and the paint was globbed up around the rear window. It was like they took a really good engine and wrapped it in a slapped together package so they could sell it cheap.

I have to say the reviews were pretty accurate. At least for me.

Had a loaded-loaded 2015 GT and now have the SS. The Mustang is more comfortable to drive. Dash is laid out nicer for me. The seats are much nicer with the premium leather. The Shaker audio system is untouchable by Gm as is the Sync system. The driver's perspective is much better. But I went from a '13 Grand sport to it so no surprise.

That being said my SS handles much better and is much more connected to the highway and roads. It is just, hands down, a lot more fun to drive. The Mustang is 'bad' and the SS is 'bad-azz',

I was searching for a GT350 as the next car and since owning the SS I am now waiting to check out the ZL1 or the Z28. If I can lose 50 lbs then a Vette is back on the radar!

Nothing is perfect for everybody. But it sure is fun.
