Fob Guard (or something similar) is still worth the money, because the new car break-ins are where the person uses a signal amplifier to use your own fob to unlock the doors. A rolling code will not prevent this.

With the signal amplifier running, they can push the button on the door of your car, then amplify the signal enough that it opens the doors with no sign of forced entry, because the signal is coming from your fob in the house. The theives could also start your car the same way, although that only works one time because they don't actually have the fob.

Case came in the other day. Personally I find it a tad bulky, but that be just because my front pockets are ridiculously shallow. Got the same one for my husband and he loves it.

It came with a small chain inside to clip to the key, but I took that out. Didn't want it scratching up the key.

Can't seem to put more than one pic in a post. But here's another view. Has the Chevy logo on one side and plastic on the other. It's not the clear plastic you'd think it would have, it's slightly opaque and sorta textured. I like it.

In my ongoing search for just the right key cover I found an awesome one for anyone with the 5 button key fob.

I contacted thejacketstore.com asking about the plans for a fob jacket for the new Camaro. Here's the reply:

Yes, we plan on it... It should become available this fall...

Thank You,

That's so funny. I emailed them a couple days ago, got the exact same response. Literally, even the spaces after ... And before "It". Hope they'll get tired of answering the same question and maybe get some in sooner.

Well, if we keep sending inquiries maybe that'll light a fire under their butts. I mean, how much R&D does a key fob jacket require?

Here I was about to buy one, and then I saw it was $32. Definitely not buying that.

Ended up buying this one for $10. Looks awesome and use a bit of the filler foam to get the key fob to snug and you're golden.

Now I won't have a heart attack if I drop it.. looks great too!

Thanks Com69!
