New 2016 2SS

I am about a week into a new 2SS that I leased (new ownership model for me). I've had a bunch of 5th gens with the last two being ZL1's, so I am well versed with 5th gen performance and characteristics. This 2016 is actually going to be mostly daily driven by my wife. It is an A8, MRC, NPP, Nav, etc. with the black split spoke wheel options. The car is pretty loaded. My wife loves the car. The A8 is a really good transmission. I have not had the car on a track yet but will later this summer. My last ZL1 had a couple simple mods and was probably pushing 650 HP at the crank. The ZL1 had a more violent acceleration but this SS isn't far behind at all. The SS seems to have more usable power which is why it feels so close to the ZL1. It's a night and day difference compared to a 5th gen SS. I can't rule out owning a 6th gen ZL1 after they hit the streets but I can say this new SS is a really nice car. It feels so much more nimble than the 5th gen platform. I'm curious to see if I can get close to, or match, my ZL1 lap times. This 6th gen SS with an A8 is really fast. It surprised me, pleasantly I might add.

Same here. Just upgraded from a 2013 2SS 1LE to a 2016 2SS A8, MRC, NPP and NAV. Immediate impressions were the seats are a lot more comfortable and the car is a lot more nimble. I was initially planning on getting another M6 until I test drove an A8. Usually, the auto trans ruins the car experience for me but the way that this A8 shifts changed that for me. It just rips through the gears, bam, bam, bam, bam... Also coming from the 1LE with its fixed track-focused suspension I am really appreciating the MRC. This car is a significant upgrade over the previous gen.
