I have plans at some point to get an aftermarket exhaust to tune the sound. In the meantime, I wanted things kept relatively subtle. I drove a car with NPP and liked the sound though, and I'd watched the jalopnik video (multiple times) before going to look at the 2016 V6.

Look at the gm/borla perf axle back exhaust ....at firs i thought it was too quiet but after living with it, I am 100 pct satisfied. It roars when you get on it and with or without the 2nd cats, it has a nice start up. Completely quiet at interstate, too. Much much lghter than the suitcase we pulled off. Trumpet Pipes bigger too.

So does anyone else with Non NPP hate the gray plastic rear fascia? Has anyone painted or done anything with it to make it look better?

I didn't go NPP because it wasn't on the lot and I didn't feel like either waiting or special ordering it.

That's essentially the totality of why i went without the option. Same reason I also didn't get black rims.

But if you're looking for regret now, you wont find it. That's what the aftermarket is for.

Same for me. I ended up loving the exhaust sound, and really like the look of the single pipe dual vs. the quad tips. I might do something aftermarket for a little more tone as well.

Hmmm I would be interested to see it and see for what cost it would be selling for. Thanks for the info, I'll be on the lookout for that

I bought my car without NPP but only because I was looking for a red hot convertible and that was literally all that could be found. I would've preferred the NPP because I prefer the quad exit look more, but with the money I saved because it was a 1lt I did some upgrades, quad exhaust being one of them. I got the 3" MBRP which is considerably louder at lower rpm but looks great IMO!

No Npp's in town at the time of purchase. Only 1 manual in town as well. Didn't want to pay extra to have it delivered. glad I opted for the auto. It's plenty quick and sounds awesome when you get on it. If I want noise I'll just ride my harley..

Yes, I definitely HATE the gray plastic rear fascia!!!

It looks so cheap and UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh well, I hope to make up for it with a new ZL1 in the not so distant future, we shall see!

I don't spend a lot of time looking at the back of mine or anyone elses car, so it doesn't matter to me really

just messin.

but if you want, take of off and get it painted. dip it. wrap it.

I'm the drizzling sh*ts when it comes to cleaning a car, but will drive the wheels off of any. that's why I'm not a car show guy.

Yeah I'm thinking I might do something with it in the spring. Who knows, maybe I will get used to it and learn to live with it. Just have to drive it harder and forget about it
