Simple answer is yes. Quick back story, I owned a 5th generation 1SS and sold it after two years when my wife and I started having children. Now the kids are older and can sit in forward facing seats. Ever since the 6th gen was revealed back in May of 2015 I knew I must have it. With two kids in daycare, mortgage and all the other bills one must submit to, another car payment just seemed out of the question.

As months passed, I could not stop thinking about the 6th gen, and I just felt like the car I am currently driving (Honda Civic) was practical, although I could feel the soul being sucked from my body every time I had to drive it (or look at it for that matter).

So luckily my wife gave me the green light to start saving and I have a job with seemingly endless amounts of overtime. In October of 2015 I start saving and working my tail off.

Fast forward to this week and GM announced the 0% for 72 months (thanks for the heads up Becky). I felt like that was the extra little boost I needed to facilitate a great deal for me.

I did not want to settle for just any car, as I want what I want, 2SS 6 speed hyper blue, 5 spoke low gloss wheels, NPP, MRC, NAV. Of course I check the surrounding area and find things close but not an exact match, again not going to settle.

Found a match in South Carloina (500 miles away) minus the black wheels. So I called the dealer today and they were able to swap out the wheels from another SS onto the one I want.

My uncle retired from GM and I qualified for the employee pricing. Because I can combine that with the 0% financing I knew it was now or never. So as of about an hour ago, my sales rep and I agreed up everything out the door, to include trade in.

So tomorrow I make the drive, and fingers crossed I will be returning to the sunshine state with my dream car.

Sorry that was so long, just wanted to share my story and thank everyone on here who are knowledgeable and willing to help us all out.

Being from SC, enjoy the drive. I would drive my 11 2SS convertible to Jax to watch all the Jags home games the past few years. Was nice to open her up a bit on 95 every so often.

Never apologize for knowing what you want and not settling for anything less. Best advise my dad ever gave me. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy your new ride. I enjoy mine every single day, wouldn't trade the shit eating grin I get when I'm behind the wheel of my dream car for anything.

Good thing regarding those wheels too... you can get a MUCH better set for the $2k GM is asking for them. That was the only option I regret on my car.
