In my previous car I used a magnetic mount that got attached to the AC vent

I don't understand why you need to use it for navigation with the technology this car provides. I can simply plug my phone into the USB port, then press the voice button, mention where I want to go, and it gives me verbal directions.

With the technology on these cars a phone never needs to be a distraction. I can make or receive phone calls verbally. I can make or receive texts verbally. All by pushing the voice button on my steering wheel. I can push that voice button and say "restaurants" and my link will list the restaurants in order of the distance they are from me. This works with hotels, gas stations, etc.

Many lives could be saved if this technology was on all cars.

Works just fine with how it is setup below until something better comes out. In 3rd & 5th it's a bit blocked, but once in 4th & 6th the view is wide open to see the screen when using Waze.

Did a couple of WOT pulls and my iPhone 6 Plus stayed put without an issue and did not come flying off at all. Overall for $7 and a temporary solution you can't go wrong.
