Question 2017 Arrivals in Canada

Hi all,

Just curious if there is any firm date that the 2017 will start arriving in Canada? I have seen people already talking about the 2017 being on the ground in the US.

Thanks for any insight,

- Cody Z

I'm in the Toronto area, and my car's TPW is set for 6/27.

So, unless GM tries to hold the Canadian 6/27 TPW's back (as there is no pricing info yet, and all dealer's car's are invoiced upon being built/shipped), we should see them as early as the first 2 weeks of July.....

I'm not aware of anyone else that has a (Canadian) TPW of before 6/27 (DJGold are I are the only ones that I'm aware of).

The main factors are:
- when you ordered
- what your dealer's actual allocation is
- when is your TPW (target production week)

This section of the site is useful. Although we can't have our orders tracked via Becky, like the US guys/gals can, we can still apply the plant dates, shutdowns, etc, as those issues affect all cars/orders.

Thanks for the replies, my dealer out here is full of BS.. both I have gone to say that they wont drop vehicle below MSRP and that they are in no rush to move them because the 17's are out yet. :(

Note to self: Buy on the mainland on not the island. Lol

Should pay a couple thousand under MSRP. No fees or admin fees either.

It seems like I will have to waterboard the dealer to get that info from them. Terrible communication.

My car will be a '17, due to a lot of BS going back 3-4 months ago (well documented in the "CANADA" section....).

ZKJR88 and CODEZ:

I'd refer to this thread; it details the various Status Codes.
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=415251

The first thing that you need to do is call them and ask for your "Workbench Number".
If they become "surprised" that you're aware of what that is.....that wouldn't be good.....
Next, call 1-800-GM-DRIVE and check to see what your Workbench Status is.....If your car remains at "1100" for an extended period, then that signals that your dealer may not have allocation. Thus your order will remain "in limbo" until their allocation comes up.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

If ordering a 2SS this is probably true... I am not sure how many of us are getting 2k under on a 1LT. This could be possible if you apply the gm.ca rebate that popped up time to time + other rebates that they sometimes offer. But without those I don't think you'd get too much under mSRP on a 1LT without any significant upgrades. Right?

My negotiated deal from March, could not be re-hashed via another dealer (believe me, I tried 4 or 5) in May......

The combo of the allocation getting tight; the '16's ramping down and the weather getting better.....the "deals" dried up pretty fast.

You may do OK with the remaining '16 lot cars in inventory. But I doubt that you're going to get a lot off of a new '17 right now-be it a factory order or a dealer stock car.

Do you guys mind mentioning what you paid vs what MSRP reflected?

I just can't justify a 56,600 price tag for a 2SS at this point..

Try justifying FROM $66, 495 for a base Stingray with the same performance under the hood it's a no brainer.

Spoke to my dealer on Sat.
There still is no pricing for '17's as of yet.

In the past, he did tell me that a '16 truck was held in a depot for 2 weeks last yr, as it was produced, prior to getting the GM of Canada pricing released.

So, even though some cars like mine and DJGold have 6/27 TPW's, they can still get held due to pricing......There is precedence on this.....

I write this, as it is an issue that can affect the shipment of '17's (at least early '17's).

Personally, I would not buy a stingray even if it was less then a Camaro, its not my type of car, doesn't look as good as a camara (in my eyes) and lastly it has nothing to do with this thread, not sure why you brought that up exactly.

56,600 is still a lot to pump out. I understand the performance numbers and the league the 6th gen has cemented itself in. Unless there are more incentives to come out the sales figures will continue to suffer. I'm hoping these numbers for MSRP take a bit of a hit once 1LE, ZL1 and anniversary editions come out. Or at least more incentives on the regular 2SS models.
